Went to Zepra as a family and truly indulged. The food was superb. The pumpkin ravioli or some Eastern name was just so good. Each appetiser was devoured by our hungry eager family. The main courses and deserts matched. It is very expensive but what the heck if you are on holiday.
I think it is great and gave me just what I expected; a great night out!

An modern Asian themed restaurant situated to the east of the Ayalon in a mainly office area close to the Azrieli Center.. Go there to eat, but for no other reason.

Spacious, modern, comfortable with reasonable acoustics and quiet background music (the tater a perennial problem in Israel). Bright and airy though the Airconditioning can be OTT for bare shouldered diners (commendably they provide shawls for those feeling the chill). large open plan kitchen visible from all areas and appears appropriately ethnically staffed! Various seating options including bar seating, a couple of smaller "cosier" area, and a "conference" dining room that seats 16 and can be closed off. Tables are reasonably sized, bare with cloth napkins.

Service is charming, prompt and attentive if in the usual slightly amateur manner that is the norm here. Fellow diners plates will be cleared in a random manner whilst others still dining, and your plate removed seconds after you appear to have finished your portion. Again the norm, though GOK why this is always the case here. Is there a shortage of cutlery and crockery? And of course half way through the meal, the tooth picks will be ceremoniously planted on the table, inviting those who have finished to...... "Pick" with abandon in front of those still dining.

The menus is typical modern fusion Asian without a true specific identity. Starters such as dumplings, spicy salads, sashimi, tempura dishes etc. mains ; variations on noodles, stir fries, rice based and steamed dishes. The more esoteric starters tend to be rather sparse verging on stingy, whilst the the mains are generous as is usually the case in this genre. Of the dishes that I tried, and those of our friends sampled, all were tasty and very freshly prepared and served (courtesy of a wireless ordering system and adequate staff to serve. Be prepared for dishes to arrive piece meal. Ingredients were fresh with lovely fresh herbs, not over spiced and thankfully not over salted.

Didn't sample the deserts, those visible looked suitable picturesque and exotic. Coffee judging by my experience was best avoided. Various fresh herb infusions which others pronounced good.

The extensive wine list was not sampled by any of our party, and given the nature of the food, would you want anything other than a simple quoffer?

In our party, my wife and I shared 3 starters and a salad dish. This with one bottle of beer came to over ₪300 (approaching $100) which is excessive. But becoming the norm in Tel Aviv. A full 3 courser with wine will put you back serious wronga! Whether its worth it depends on how painful you will find it. Nor could I suggest a better value equivalent experience.

On balance, good, but ultimately overpriced in the fine dining territory, which it isn't. You pays your money........

The interior decoration is amazing; We were group of seven people (work colleagues), shared the dishes. All was very tasty and esthetic. The service was excellent. For sure will come again.

I am in shock. Whatever restaurants have been highly recommended to me in Israel have always been amazing and exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere at zepra is totally cool.... But the food is tasteless and unimaginative. Example their signature tartare is totally bland with no taste.. It is in a thoughtless wasabi sauce. Quite frankly I am a terrible chef and I can basically make a watered down wasabi dressing. The waiters are friendly but the service is beyond slow unless you complain. Sad but true for this overpriced, plain, bland tasting food. I totally do not recommend this restaurant

This place was great. Food was amazing, service impeccable.

Unfortunately it was too expensive to ever consider coming back.

If you have no budget limitations this is probably one of the best restaurants in Tel Aviv.
