I travel to Amman quite a lot for work and often my colleagues opt for other hotels (Four Seasons, Inter, Hilton) but being the team lead, I have coerced them to stay at the Sheraton because it was one of the only hotels where I did not leave with a sinus infection due to the smokey lobby, halls and rooms. However, now the Sheraton is just as bad. I immediately got allergies from the smokiness of the hotel. I even had to sleep with the windows open. Also, the first room I was given was filthy. The sink had hair and dirt on the top ring of the sink. It was disgusting. However, I must say that the level of professionalism, English and attentiveness of all staff (front, housekeeping, room service, restaurant, etc.) has improved 100% since my last stay. However, between waking up stuffed up from the smoke coming from the ventilation system and given I hold meeting in the lobby lounge the smoke during my last stay is making me seriously reconsider staying here next time I'm in Amman.
