Although the hotel provides excellent breakfast and is located in fair location, but the room itself and gym are not up to Hyatt standard. The room that i stayed was close to the elevator and power room, so i was bothered by noises all day and night. not just that, i could also hear noise from anyone who walked by. Gym, pool, and jaguzzi are too small. Some of hotel staff are friendly. Some just do the work as a work. I could see negative expression shown on reception staff's face. I sometimes enjoyed observing the breakfast lady who keeps asking guest for room number. She often double-checked what her colleague just did without concerning that it bothered the guest. The check-in staff was so helpful.

Anyhow, it seems to be the best choice if you look for a place to stay with less smoke.

This hotel was nice--clean rooms, big bathrooms, marble entryway. We payed to upgrade to the Club Level (reception asked us if we wanted to), which included breakfast and access to the Club Lounge. This was well worth it. Each night, we were able to get a table by the window with views of the city while having a glass of Jordanian wine and snacks (the mini pastries were fantastic!). The location was good, all things considered. We were able to walk to our favorite restaurant in Amman, Fakhr al Din, and we even walked back to the hotel one night from Rainbow Street. All in all, a good hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room on the Club Level. It's worth it for the wine and snacks.

I just returned from several nights at the Grand Hyatt Amman. The property is very clean, modern, and staffed with very friendly people. While the hotel lacks the poolside service of the Four Season's and Sheraton Amman (specifically the allure of the Sheraton's rooftop lounge, incredibly attentive shisha/hookah tenders, and deejay) it is still worth considering. The breakfast buffet is amazing and on par with the aforementioned properties and other world class hotels. The spa is great also - there's a great gym, pool, hot tub, along with hot and dry saunas. I recommend a higher floor, away from the elevator, to avoid any street noise. I will definitely recommend this property to others while visiting the lovely city and friendly people of Amman.

Room Tip: I recommend a higher floor, away from the elevator, to avoid any street noise. Ask for an end room...

We were invited for an event last week and I must say the hotel staff just spoiled the whole event. A mobile, a Cigar & a Lighter were stolen from the tables. cutlery were removed from tables even if people didn't finish eating and got three times corked glasses of wine "even though we informed them that the bottle is corked!"

Room Tip: Never think of this hotel

The Grand Hyatt Amman is an impressive hotel though not as opulent as it's properties in other locations. It was close to my office, tho after hours you need a taxi to get around.
Breakfast was usual hotel fare. Breakfast staff were rude and over whelmed. The coffee was awful when you eventually get it. Falafel were oily, burnt and under cooked in the middle. I asked the chef for a fresh batch and yet they arrived more burnt and under done at my table. I wound up eating eggs and fruit every day. But there is a wide range of breakfast breads if you like that sort of thing.
The rooms were comfy and bathroom spacious. Again other GH properties have better bedding and toiletries. The bathroom was cleaned haphazardly. There were mildew and water marks on the shower door and around the sink. The bin wasn't emptied on one day and the whole room could use a good spring cleaning.
The highlights of my stay were a doorman named Mamdouh and Shareef at Reception. They were always pleasant, polite and went out if their way to help me find an iPhone charger in the middle of the night.
Check in and check out were drama free yet seemed to take forever!!

I spent 5 days in this magnificent piece of architecture, built on the hills of Amman. Took one of the elevators to the 7th floor, then walked through the lobby to reach the entrance on the other side of the hotel :). The tall beautifully constructed building is a landmark of the city. Unfortunately, not many people knew at that time (Dec 2006) about the existence of big exhibition halls in the basement.
