Luxurious hotel in the center of amman. The room is beautiful, clean, and medium sized. The breakfast is delicious with wide variety of food types. Location is good near everything, pool is nice, I was given a warm welcome, high speed Internet, I enjoyed the stay.

Firstly, this place is definitely not a 5 star!

The best part of the hotel is it's ground floor, the lobby, piano lounge and the cigar room are quite impressive.

Sadly the rooms are a different category all together.

Like mentioned by many people before the carpets and upholstery need a change.

A leaking toilet flush, an electric kettle whose cord is so short that it has to be placed on the floor to reach the socket.....
definitely not 5 star.

The breakfast is okish but again not top notch. Paper napkins and poor service dont add to the experience.

Lastly, no free wifi is shocking!

I stayed in the Regency Palace for a week and I have some observations to point out:

Positives:

- The staff are the best part of the hotel, Vivian and Sara were so helpful and friendly along with there colleagues
- They allowed me to check out at 5:30 pm with no extra charge which I thought was very generous of them
- The location is great, the lobby is nice, the rooms were clean

Negatives

- As everyone mentioned, the toilets need a serious renovation, they were old, and ugly.
- smoking is allowed everywhere, even though there were signs in certain spots but obviously no one was taken them seriously.
- The breakfast was very average, does not feel like a 5 star hotel breakfast at all, very limited choices
- The amount of prostitutes going in and out of the hotel is unbelievable, the hotel should not allow this to happen as it is obviously will harm there reputation, we had girls knocking on our doors searching for customers, and a lady in the elevator basically offered me a deal !

I took part in a conference held at the hotel and the conference room on the top floor seemed deserted on the first day with dust all over the chairs. The carpeting was dirty not just with stains but actual particles of dust and dirt that it seems it hasnt been vaccumed for a long time. We didnt see anyone from the hotel staff around, except when they brought in the coffee break. The bathrooms seem to be decades old, the doors are ancient, and the wastebin is only a shell (there is no bin inside). The hotel seems to lack management and their cleanliness standards are way below average.

Had a very comfortable stay, very unique family owned hotel, staff were very friendly and room was very clean and spacious.
This is my second time experiencing the truly amazing Jordanian hospitality.
The food is delicious and plentiful.
