“Great chef”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

Although wine would be missed the food will compensate it. REally good Italian cuisine by a very kind chef. I loved the taste and it is a very cozy place.

“Esmat”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

I am a big fan of Italian cuisine thus very demanding, but this restaurant stole my heart. Even though it doesn;t look great from the outside, even though it doesn't serve alcohol (a glass of wine would be perfect), i will definitely go again. It;s a typical Italian trattoria, small, with traditional decoration, open kitchen and small tables. A few dishes, but everything we tried was as it should be. Spagghetti brand was Barilla (that's a non negotiable for me when it comes to Italian restaurants), we had a salad, spagghetti bolognese and linguini pesto. Big portions (we couldn't eat all of it) and even though the bolognese was not the way i prefer it, it was very good - a bit spicy. For these plus two cokes we paid 15 jod. I will return for more dish-trying for sure!

“Amazing Food, Nice Ambience”
Reviewed 16 January 2014

Such places are unfortunately rare in Amman: Chef restaurant with simple setting and very limited seating with very high quality of food and featuring an open kitchen. We met with Chef Esmat who insisted that we did not need the menu: "This menu is for tourists, I will serve you and you will like it". And like it we did!
We started off with the washroom soup, then moved on to two kinds of salad: An exotic salad with Mango and a Crab Salad. Both were full of taste and although I am not a salads person, I really enjoyed those salads. Then we received spinach ravioli which was unbelievable. Followed by Parmesan penne, sea food pasta, rocca veal and pepper steak. All dishes were shared by four people so we got to try every thing. The cooking stove was only two meters away so every thing arrived hot and fresh. We finished off with tiraisu, one of the best I had in Amman.

Reserve early, as it gets very busy, especially on weekends. The place has only 8 tables and always in high demand, even on weekdays.

“Unexpected venue”
Reviewed 11 January 2014 via mobile

It's a cozy place with only 7 tables. Wood floor, ceiling and furniture make it a unique feel for the stone city of Amman. The kitchen spills out into the dining area making it feel like the preparation a part of your dinner experience.
