We stayed for two nights in this city centre hotel. Although our room overlooked the car park/bus park/market place and was not pretty it did not matter because we did not spend time in our room. The minaret at 4am is part of Jordan life. The room was fairly small but clean, TV, mini bar, hair dryer, air con and was quiet. The hotel is very clean, nice furnished and has a 24 hour restaurant which was buffet style. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Evening meal at 16 JD was very reasonable and good value. Staff were friendly and helpful, check in and out was painless. A pleasant stay in a wonderful city and I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The Toledo Hotel is a 3* hotel and you will find lots of awards (5 points on tripadvisor, best 3* hotel in Jordan,...) in the lobby. But actually I expect that a hotel that has won so many awards, can deal with their reservations!!! We made our reservation via ebookers, but they could not find it (we had a confirmation number, payment has been made already, etc.) and has been completely booked for that day. They let us wait for a long time until they offered us an upgrade. If this happens to you, do NOT take the "upgrade" to the LeVendome Hotel (4* but not worth 1*!!!!). They wanted to inform us what went wrong, but we still wait for that information!

This was a good mid range hotel. Pretty basic rooms but the decor was nice and it was pretty clean. Bathroom not very modern but it was fine for the price. The stand out feature is the stunning decor in the downstairs lobby of traditional mosaics and tiles. Breakfast is ok. I would definitely recommend this hotel especially for the value for money.

Stayed at this hotel for one night at the start of a tour of Jordan. We arrived late, having been picked up from the airport by the hotel's minibus (30JD). We had been booked in to a twin room by the tour company which the helpful desk staff soon changed to a double. The room was pleasant enough and spacious, and the bed comfortable. As we arrived late we ordered some food from room service, the shish kebab that they sent up was the best we had in Jordan. Breakfast was plentiful but uninspiring.

I loved this hotel- ok, not the fanciest place in town but for the price you can't complain. Great location. Transfer to/from airport in hotel minibus 15JD, fab. The rooms are fine- clean, big enough and really comfortable beds. We stayed in a 'no view' room at the back which was really quiet, when we returned later that week we got a room with a view at the front- which yes, came with early morning call to prayer noises, but to me it was all part of experiencing this country! The food in the restaurant not bad- but most of all best part was the staff! SO friendly and went out of there way to help us with everything, really could not fault the staff. For this reason alone I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Amman!

Room Tip: Choose smoking room at the back if you want peace- or ask for a room with a view if you don't mi...

This hotel situated in a quiet street on Jabal Al Hussein looks very attractive from the lobby side with his arabic architecture and arches, a small welcoming terrace and a typical oriental restaurant. But, all the rooms situated in the back area are extremely noisy, especially on the week-end because of the big market which is held on the place on the other side of the hotel. The soundproofing of the rooms is inexistant ! You can hear all the corridor's activities, the doors banging non-stop.... The atmosphere in the rooms is not really pleasant due to the sinister color of the walls, the old curtains and the lack of decoration. The bathrooms are basic and not very clean. The breakfast is average.... the coffee is terrible ! On the other hand, the hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful !

Room Tip: Inside rooms are quieter.

situated in a local residental area not much to see around except a very big local Weekend market selling cheap shoes and clothes, and a busy shopping area 15min away. Except in the hotel you won't see many tourists around but Jordan in gneral is a tourist safe country. We ealked a long time before seeing a good local restaurant with good and cheap local food, otherwise you need toneat in the hotel restauran which offers food of acceptable quality and basic services. Staff in general are helpful but mostly do not carry a smile at all. Hotel is old in many ways, room is small but clean. If you look for a basic hotel to spend a nights or two before you transit to Petra or other locations, you can consider this hotel.

Room Tip: if your room is facing the market place with mosque and church around, you can hear the prayers and...
