“Delicious Lebanese in Amman”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

Definitely one of the top restaurants in Amman. It's not as well known as some of the other Lebanese restaurants in town although it's better than a lot of them. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Try go in a big group so you can order a wide range of mezze to share. Everything was great but the mhammara stood out as extra delicious! Great msakhan rolls too! It's on the pricy side, but worth paying for I would say. Full mezze and mixed grill is the way to go.

“Excellent dinner and atmosphere”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

This was our first real meal in Amman, and we were delighted with the menu, the atmosphere, and the service. The food - as others have noted - was fantastic and the atmosphere was a pleasure. Everything was so tempting and we over-did it on the mezzes but cannot complain :-)

Lovely meal and a great pleasure to have been able to eat there during our visit.

Fantastic food in a lovely setting.
The Mezzehs were superb. Definitely going again.

I even drank Arak which I normally do not (Ksara).
Portions were excellent.
The Desserts eere to die for. Am so glad I went there.

“Al Tannoureen never disappoints!”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

In my opinion this is the best Lebanese restaurant in Jordan. While there are others like Fakhr-i-din that are more famous and also excellent, Tannoureen's more subtle cooking approach takes the prize. Extraordinary cold and hot mezzes, and their meats are only the very best quality, always tender and succulent and never cooked to death, one great crime often encountered in other top-end eateries in Amman. I am especially fond of their unique fateh dishes.

The ambience is very old world and classical, with some lovely pieces of Syrian inlaid furniture in many of the rooms. The outdoor garden in summer is very special, in this otherwise crowded part of Amman, between Mecca Street and the 6th Circle.

Excellent value (5 of us recently ate like mad at $18 per person). For Amman, this is very reasonable.

Do not miss this wonderful restaurant.

“Very good Lebanese restaurant”
Reviewed 30 November 2013

Was recommended Tannoureen as my usual favourite in Amman (Fakhr El Din) was full. Was a little hidden behind bushes and trees, and looked very welcoming.

We were a little early, but the place had a really nice feeling, with the old-fashioned fireplace and a big Christmas tree all decked out. Service was very good - limited English with some of the servers (very limited Arabic from me!), but no problems at all.

The food was very good, and portions were on the generous side. The waiters were very quick with the hot bread, and as usual we ordered far too much to eat. But it was all very good. The place filled up rather quickly after we arrived and it seems to be quite a popular place with ex-pats and locals alike. Lots of shisha smoking around us, but that's part of the experience - if it really bothers you, then you may struggle to avoid it.

On the whole it is almost as good as Fakhr El Din...but not quite. Great meal all the same and wouldn't hesitate to go back. A bit pricey for Amman, but worth it.
