“Away from Masjid Haram..”
Reviewed 8 April 2013

The hotel is petty far from haram area. Really touch to go to Masjid haram to pray in busy time.

The hotel parking is good and big.

The checkin was easy and fast.

The room don't have enought aminaties in there. Even the bath rooom lack of aminaties. Hope they will improve on that.

Some of the staff informed me that the hotel will be pulled down in next six month or so, thus the management is not taking good care of things. But this is destroying there name in the market.

Hope they will improve, the food was tasty but lack varieties in it, very little choice to select from.

In all the stay was OK as the intention was to spend more time in Masjid Haram.

stayed for 4 nights in the hotel (not in the apartments), Well-positioned in Mecca City, around 10 minutes walk to Al-Masjed Al- Haram. shuttle buses around the clock.
Reception did not bother to assist, just gave us the key. not ready to give any information even the room number of other friends staying in the hotel.
AC in the restaurant is very cold.
good opportunity around the hotel to shop around. but the choice of restaurants was limited.

Room Tip: ask for rooms in the 9th floor

Everything about this hotel is average. It is that type of things that you are not impressed and you are not dissatisfied. Travel agents advertise it as a 5 star hotel, but I think it is a 3 star hotel. Reception is very fast, elevators are always available, sheets and towels are clean and day to day cleanliness is very good but the furniture is very old and the arms of armchairs are smudged and worn out. The only real disadvantage for us was the distance from Haram. Although the shuttle buses are always available and leave within 2 minutes after a passenger is on board, and the exit is near Haram gate number 74, yet the bus stop is under the Haram and it is at least 5 oC hotter than the temperature in the sun ( I think it reached 55 oC) which can lead to heat shock.
One more thing if you can do not go to Umrah during Rajab (the seventh Hijri month) because It is very crowded.

Room Tip: Choose a room that faces the Clock Tower not the court yard

Hotel should be 2-star, while their apartments don't even earn 1-star. Staff have to be pushed to help and some are rood. Corridors are smelly and elevators are dirty. Food was ok. Very overpriced. Buses to The Haram are dirty, and run crowded and late at busy times.

salam alykum
the hotel is devided into 3 building, one of them is the hotel, the other 2 are the apartments, the hotel it self is ok, but my experiance with the aprtment was bad, the travel agent didn't explain to us that the aprtment are 1-2 star rating, they were far inside the building away from the main door. the bathroom shower didn't work properly. so be careful about what they offer u. customer service was helpful and ready for upgrade if u r ready to pay, i visited mecca in ramadan, the hotel was busy and u have to pay extra. he did upgrade us from the bad apartment to more acceptable level but the shower problem is still there.
the bed sheets were old.
the first apartment had bad smell. i hope that u ask u travel agent about detail before u accept the deal.
there were buses the whole day to the harm in ramadan during our stay in the middle 10 days of ramadan. traffic was bad on fridays only. walking to the Harm will take around 15 minutes. u have to go up hill then down hill to reach the
Harm. i will add pictures for the aprtment soon
