We went for Umrah and had a chance to stay in this hotel overall a good experience but due to a lot of crowd for Umrah the hotel was Already full. Nice helping staff though little late to clean up the rooms .Breakfast was awesome, but the Premium rooms which I think are recently renovated have very small shower cabins which are quite uncomfortable and we tried to change the rooms but the ones available had same shower cabins in the Bathroom. The only good advantage was every place is easily accessible from this hotel you get down and there you are in The Haram Sharif .Upper floor rooms are recommendable specially Kaaba view ones.

Slow check-in
Wrong room specifications
Only one person in Reception
You will be calling the reception all day with no answer
Electricity cut off suddenly
Not value of money.
Very expensive.
The only god thing about it is its location close to the Harram with plenty of lifts.

It was once again the beautiful and amazing experience at Almarwa Rayhaan Rotana in Makkah. Right from the person who received us and took our baggage, painless check in with courteous and smily face like they knew us for years.... made us pay more to upgrade our three rooms. Everyone top to bottom were just too great to mention and I can write pages for each individual of their staff members.
Not only we enjoyed the most lavish BREAKFAST offered, we enjoyed the company of BILAL AHMED "Asst director Food & Bevarages" who looked after us tremendously like a friend. His staff including ELA were so nice and helpful who definitely exceed the expectations.
This was the 3rd time we stayed here and planning again.
Recommened my nephew and got his booking done today who will be staying there in first week of March 2014... Thanks again.

Room Tip: All rooms are equily good

Stayed here for umrah for 7 days with my wife. We got a part Haram view. Check in was quick as it was a group check in. The room is an upgraded room. However, due to the density of hotel guests, I can see the room starting to get worn out. Too soon you might say? This is due to the housekeeping is not doing their utmost to maintain the cleanliness of the room. To ask them to vacuum the room is such a pain. We can clearly see the carpet is so dirty when we open the curtain. Manage to find some curry spots on it too. The bathroom is getting moldy and moldy each day we stayed. Somehow, the housekeeping people are male, and I can see they are not that detail oriented kind of cleaners. The tv itself was so dusty we used our own tissue to wipe it clean. Bed is hard type. So soft bed lovers, you wouldn't like this hotel.
Breakfast has a great choice of food. Bread lovers will definitely appreciate the wide spread types of bread. They have fresh salmon served too, together with salad bar, cheese spreads, and hot food, such as rice, egg omelet and sometimes curry chicken, or beef goulash, depending on days. However, they are generally the same throughout my whole stay. But considering the hotels we had stayed, the breakfast here is great. We wanted to try their dinner buffet, but as it was a Friday night, also known as Seafood night, the buffet price per person is SR190, which I think is a bit overpriced personally for myself.
Wi-fi is not free. So we have to go to the lobby lounge to use free wi-fi by Raffles or Fairmont. I feel wi-fi is suppose to be free at this stage of hotel industry.
Overall, it was a good stay but not an excellent one. I will definitely try other hotels in the surrounding area as the level of cleanliness is really not up to par with my expectation. I mean, daily vacuum is not that much of a demand, is it?

Room Tip: If you intend to stay for a few nights, try to book a Haram view room.

this hotel is nice and comfortable. rooms have a small kitchen with a washing machine and stove, really convenient. Access to the Haram is via two lifts but even though the hotel is always busy, lifts are readily available and convenient. staff are not too friendly though

I have stayed in this hotel for two nights on January 2014. The hotel is nicely located near al Haram and just 2 minutes of walking. The hotel is the first tower right of the Makkah Clock. I arrived to the hotel around 4:00 PM and was requested to wait until the room is ready even though the hotel check in time is 4:00 PM. I waited for 20 minutes and then came back to the front desk employee to find out that my room is ready but he had difficult time finding me even though I was sitting in front of him the cafe tables. I requested a receipt of the deposit as they take cash and never got it. The agent name was Zain, he seems to be gentle but overloaded. Sometime you come to the front desk and you find only one agent which was quiet disappointing. The bathroom is so tight and not very clean and old as well. The other issue is the bed was hard and not comfortable even though the mattress is made by Sealy. Moreover, the breakfast was a major disappointment as there were limited choices and not very fresh food. I didn't like it at all. I feel they make the breakfast for the sake of just matching what other hotels offer. I didn't see any competition or care of guests. Also, the hotel services are all covered by the bellboy which is quite confusing. If you need a car, you talk to them and if you need to ask about any nearby locations, you talk to those people. I feel as if the front desk are out of responsibilities. The hotel needs to understand the manning of the hotel and they need to take care of their customer care by all means. I will definitely not come again to this hotel until they make major changes and start to gain trust again.
