Best hotel in Mecca. I booked two suites but I was upgraded to two rook residential suites with partial Kaba view which was great.
The hotel is one of the closest to Al Haram. It can be pricy during seasons though!

You next option should be Fairmont.

We stayed at the hotel for a quick break while we performed Umrah. The service and welcoming at the Hotel was exceptional. The customer service I experienced from the valet, concierge and at check in was very good for any standards and simply exception for KSA.

The suite was as expected for the hotel; it was a good size, great bathroom, very clean and an amazing view of the Haram.

When making the reservation I was aware that it was in the Al Abraj complex and you had to go through the shopping center to get to the Haram, so I think it would be unfair to say it was a bad point. Yes the elevators can be slow, but on a positive its easy to get to the food courts on P3 and they have large prayer halls for women (P10) and for men (P9) if you are unable to go to the Haram itself.

The downsides I experienced were; there was no bolt lock on the door and as a result, a member of staff entered the room without knocking. The breakfast selection was not as good as I would have expected. Before checking out the concierge had taken my luggage, and once we had checked out it took more than 30 minutes for my bags to be taken down to my car (if I had known I would have happily taken my own bags to my car).

Overall these things didn’t do enough to spoil our trip but were more annoying than anything else. For me this is probably the first hotel I have stayed in which can rival Intercontinental (Dar al Tawhid) as best hotel in Makkah.

Room Tip: Like in every hotel in Makkah, a Haram view is always special!

Positives
Excellent Hotel , Good Location , Clean Well Maintained Suites only , Good Food and Beverage selection

Negatives
Major Drawback : ELEVATORS , you need to walk into the Al Abraj shopping complex take a common elevator which is used by all the mall visitors to the P11 level ( sometimes the wait for this elevator is endless , else sometimes half these elevators not working ) then you come to level P11 , walk upto raffles lobby and then take a hotel private elevator to your room

Breakfast Section waiters not helpful at all. They never respond
