My husband and I have stayed at The Palace a few times and it never disappoints.

The staff are friendly and efficient and the welcome is always warm. We had an Executive room which was clean and well appointed. I was also very pleased to see the new range of Co Bigelow toiletries in the bathroom - love them!

This time we used the pool which we hadn't done before. It is actually really pleasant back there and we caught some lovely rays while enjoying a cold beer. It was very relaxing.

We also ate in the bar and I have to say it was maybe one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. It is also reasonably priced plus offers good draught beer options and cocktails.

I can't tell you how many times I said "I love this hotel" during our stay. From the warm welcome with a glass of OJ to the accommodating staff with our late checkout, it was fabulous! As another reviewer said, the staff seemed genuinely happy to have us there and were so friendly. The breakfast was great-made to order cappuccino, eggs, even French toast! The regular spread of food was delicious as well, including the pork bacon (and for a pork eater currently living in Saudi, I was thrilled). There is a "library" in the hotel too with magazines that you are welcome to take. It was great to have them to read by the pool.
We had a great view of the pool which was always clean and practically empty. No wild kids running around or music blaring...very relaxing. We ate at the gastropub twice, and the food was decent. Make sure to try the banoffee pie. Yum. We also had dinner at Masso on our last night, and the manager personally escorted us to the restaurant. He truly cared about making our stay the best it could be. The chef at Masso (female, by the way!) uses fresh ingredients from her own garden there, and it makes for outstanding food. The wine selection was great as well, and they were willing to bring a bottle on ice to me at the pool :-) I was in heaven.
As for the rooms, they were kept very clean, and I love the sliding wood doors on the windows. Very unique. I couldn't contain my excitement about the mats with slippers next to the bed and the fresh cookies that we found every evening in our room! There were also fresh bottles of Arwa water and fruit every day. The bath products provided were Bigelow (nice!), and they even had toothbrushes and toothpaste for us. The water pressure was good, and I love how the bathroom tiles change to rainbow colors in the light. It's all about the little things. There is no ice machine, but they were more than willing to bring us buckets of ice when we asked. Same with an iron and ironing board. Service is incredibly quick with this staff! The room has a nice flatscreen TV as well.
Some tips: Make sure to take the elevator at some point, lol. I've never been in one that was open on 2 sides. It was just an interesting experience. If you take a taxi and they don't know the hotel, tell them Palace Inn. None of our cabbies knew the hotel had changed names. Watch the stair with red tape...it's a little higher than all of the others, and it'll trip you up at least once! Make sure you take a drive with Ali`...it will cost 5 BDs, but the hotel shuttle will take you anywhere in Manama, and he is like your own personal tour guide! He loves his country and loves giving you information about it and what you see.
My only con is the outlets. Some of them didn't seem to work, and some only worked if you had it plugged in just the right way. A little too loose it seemed. I meant to mention this to them but forgot.
Can't wait to go back again...already planning my next trip!!

Room Tip: Room 212 has a great pool view

My boss and I decided to have a quick getaway last EID and we had a blast! The hotel is strategically situated near the airport (approx. 10-15 min) and sight-seeing sites that will enable you to save time and resources. Their staff are accommodating and will cater to your needs as well (they arranged our transportation and tour bookings). We commend them for maintaining the cleanliness in all areas; our room was clean, modern and has this homey feel which earned us a plus point; and we slept peacefully, too. The management provides free shuttle service to and from the airport, breakfast and other services such as snacks and drinks. Overall it was a great experience. Four thumbs up!

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights and really enjoyed the peaceful, calming stay.
Check in was a breeze with the receptionist being really helpful, ( the staff at this place really seem genuinely pleased to help you, not the usual false hello's you normally get ).
Room seemed brand new, comfy bed, large walk in shower, good selection of channels on the TV and most importantly for Manama its really quiet and peaceful....the room service is also excellent with PORK BACON, excellent selection of food for all tastes and restaurant quality ( club sandwich / banoffee pie were particularly good ). Wifi is free in the room and reasonably fast.
Theres a big pool and a couple of restaurants attached to the hotel which we didn't use but looked ok..
Breakfast was first class, buffet affair with scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes PORK sausages / real bacon, if you wanted omellete / fried eggs they will cook them to order..good selection of fresh breads too..
Lounge is great for coffee and there is also an outside walled garden, again both so peaceful.
We used the hotel car for a trip to the malls, only paid 5 bhd which is cheaper than the local taxi.
Its nice to come across a proper luxury hotel in Manama, will definitely go back.

I always stay at this hotel when in Bahrain. Just love it. Amazing service, very personal. You feel like at home and they really take good care of you. Free airport pick up, nice pool with Bar. Great lounge music. Just perfect. Every afternoon they leave you some nice sweets at your room. Breakfast with the best capuccino and bacon in the region. Masso fine dining Italian restaurant is next door. Hotel manager Reza is all about great service.
