“Renovated and looks great...food's good too.”
Reviewed 17 June 2012

Feels like you're in the Carribean. Very nice ambience after the renovation.
Food has improved too and the buffets have a good variety of dishes.
Outside seating (when the weather is good) is excellent over-looking the pool area.

“Lovely New Decor, But Smaller Food Selection”
Reviewed 19 December 2011

We had breakfast and dinner at the Le Med last month. We enjoyed the new decor and the nice scenery overlooking the swimming pool at the Ritz-Carlton. Previously, we dined at both breakfast and dinner times, and this time around we noticed that the food selection was smaller; i.e. the number of offered items was less. Yet, prices did not change. At dinner, one of my guests requested some water, and the waiter brought a bottle of imported water. We finished that, and noticed that local bottled water was also available at a nearby table. So, we requested local bottled water. At the end of the dinner, we spoke to one of the attendants about food selection and how it has gotten smaller, and she said that they have just finished renovating the restaurant, and that the kitchen was not opened yet. She also mentioned that is why food selection was smaller. When we paid, I noticed that the two bottles of water cost a total of BD6.9 (around $18.9) including taxes, which I thought was excessive. I also believe that the waiter should have asked us if wanted local bottled water or imported water before proceeding to bring the more expensive imported kind. All and all the place is lovely and the ambience is nice.
