Description: A family restaurant that specializes in Kerala cuisine but adds a pretty good punch of Mughlai menu as well.Nattinpuram seems to be a mini-Kerala, boasting of interiors that showcase a dining experience complete with swanky house-boat style interiors, a courtyard with a lotus pond and a 'rainy-day style' fountain, artificial trees, murals depicting traditional village scenes of Kerala and a unique live kitchen that serves food in a street cart fashion. “Nattinpuram @ Ramee Baisan Bahrain - value for money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 November 2013

Visited on 08 November 2013 for lunch. The traditional kerala spread served on the banana leaf had an added plus (non-veg dishes), had great variety, had generous portions and tasted great. Plus points were the acceptable taste of the Aviyal, Sambhar, Kootu Curry, Ishtoo, Pachadi & Kitchadi, the great tasting pan fried king fish & king fish curry in coconut milk. Added to this was the chicken & mutton masala on offer. All in all, a fulfilling satisfying experience.

“Passable ambience, uninspiring food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2013

The restaurant has a bit of Kerala decor, which could have been done more aesthetically. A houseboat style interior, a lotus pond, a fountain and murals with village scenes. Yet it does not seem cheerful probably because of the lighting. We ordered some Mughlai dishes, which were pretty awful, and so we decided to try out appams since the restaurant is supposed to specialise in Keralite cuisine. The appams were cold and the accompaniments were too spicy. Perhaps the cuisine is made extra spicy to suit the regional taste, but to someone who is not used to extra hot chillies, the spices are not subtle. Also food presentation skills - a big zero. Had been there with friends and unfortunately none of us enjoyed the experience.
