Sheraton Bahrain Hotel

I have stayed in this hotel several times, but this time they showed an even higher commitment to the client comfort. One of the best values you will find in Manama. Great rooms, great hotel, excellent bar with live music, good restaurants inside the hotel. Sometimes they have discounts on the weekends and if you are SPG member they can offer a free upgrade for the room. Free Internet (WIFI).

The rooms are a bit small, but well appointed. They charge quite a bit for internet, 9.5 BD (~$25) per day, unless you are a starwood preferred or get some other deal for free internet. The workout center is one of the best I have seen in all of my travels and the many (4) restaurants downstairs make for an easy, wonderful dinner if you don't want to venture out on an evening.

As mentioned in other reviews, the windows are small so there is little natural light. I was not put off by the furniture and was very happy with the apportionments other than the room being a bit small. The staff is extremely helpful and we never had to wait more than 2 minutes for a taxi. There is also a free shuttle to/from the airport as well as the US Navy Base.

The added benefits of SPG gold ensure I will stay here again the next time I am in the kingdom.

Room Tip: If you are SPG, you can get rooms on the second floor that are better apportioned (teak, etc)

Another day another hotel. This time I had a couple of hours free before work and the usual thing woud be to use their fantastic pool and gym but this time is was straight to the bar! The rooms are a good size and again they are a good business hotel. The rooms are slightly dated and the windows are small with not so good views. The service is fantastic and having stayed in a few hotels in Bahrain this is one of the good ones.

This hotel is decent, the entrance is quite grand, the restaurants are fine (international, chinese, etc.) and provide good food and service.
Staff is helpful and willing to support.

The cons is that the room are ok sizewise, have mminuscule windows, and the overall furniture clearly dates from the 90's.

It is calm and comfortable.
Definitely not fancy

Hotel guests in Bahrain are hard to come by at the moment, so there is no shortage of good service. The Sheraton is well located, and although it has a surprisingly unimposing entrance it offers high standards of service and comfort as one would expect.

Good buffet breakfast. The hotel links into a shopping mall which offers alternative dining options, such as the international Italian restaurant Bice.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Arriving at 1:00 am was a drag but the check-in was quick and efficient. The hotel lobby is quite impressive and the link centre and coffee lounge were both easily accessible and relaxed. The restaurant where breakfast was served was great in the morning especially if you had limited time and the chef turned out a good omelette very quickly. However, the same restaurant at night was a bit dour.
The rooms would be described as a typical Sheraton particularly in an older property and was quite small. Very little natural light came into the room due to a small window that was difficult to get at and shrouded in endless curtains. The large wall mirror did assist in alleviating the darkness but it could be better. The air-con unit was noisy and had to stop using it at night to get some decent sleep. Only the second time in Bahrain and while the Sheraton was strides ahead of the Golden Tulip opposite where I have previously stayed I am likely to look for something more modern around the Al Seef area next time round.

Stayed in this hotel for two nights. The staff is friendly and efficient. The hotel is nice. You get a welcoming feel when you enter main lobby. The Al Safir restaurant serves breakfast. I would rate that breakfast at par with other hotels in the same category. However, the staff in this restaurant works as if they are in a panic situation. They work well and serve properly but they were not comfortable. This distracted me during breakfast. I would say this is an observation and not a complaint. The rooms in hotel are pretty small. I have stayed in other hotels in Bahrain as well. Rooms here could be a little larger. What I did not like about this room is the position of window is horrible. If I slide curtains, I can get daylight in room but getting a view from this window is utterly uncomfortable. The chair and sofa in room are good but you can not have the privilege of sitting in those and having outside view while you sip your coffee / tea. By the way, there is a coffee maker in room but no kettle to boil water for tea. So, you are forced to use coffee maker for getting hot water. Not a very encouraging thing. The AC fan did not stop at all. I had to switch it off. For the money they charge, this hotel shall provide better returns than they provide now.
