Lets face it, the Delmon is the Delmon. Its a fairly low cost hotel with basic facilities and maintenance. The Breakfasts are on the decidedly iffy side but the location and entertainment are good for the price.

Room Tip: Expect a few eye openers. 2nd floor has reasonable internet.

Well, the best and worst I can say about this hotel is that it's akin to what one can only imagine the last days of Saigon were like.

Firstly, that this is a four-star hotel is flat out laughable. They've made that up. It's a two-star hotel

Secondly, it's a brothel. Chinese hookers will proposition you if you leave your room. The bars - there are four, plus a nightclub, are hellish places full of the dregs of sex tourists - drunk American oil contractors and sleezebag Saudis.

So three quarters of the hotel is ghastly. The rooms, though, are excellent. New, comfy beds, huge TVs and a wide range of channels. The room service too is fantastic. Preferable to the run-of-the-mill breakfast buffet.

Location wise, it's a ten minute walk from the diplomatic area, five minutes drive from the supermarket and mall, and five minutes across the highway from the trendy financial harbour.

Perfectly acceptable for: those with a sense of adventure, those needing to visit an embassy, and perverts.

An odd, odd place.

The hotel is a little bit old, need some renovation. The rooms are good, clean and spacious. Hotel is near in Bahrain City Centre Mall and Seef Mall. The staff are nice and warm. The only thing that I don't like is the shower, it's terrible.

I have stayed here about twenty times over 6 years. The overall feel of the hotel is nice. The staff, management and food service staffs always impressed me.

The location is nice. Walking distance from most places of interest. It is a short cab ride to the large malls and airport.

The bar is dark, but always hopping and full of fun people. The breakfast service is always full of options and good food.

I would recommend this hotel for any traveller. They take good care of the guests and make your trip more relaxed.

Stayed for 2 nights, 25, 26 April 2013. It is good for a budget and when a bed and shower are all you want. It is comfortable, but cleaning isn't the best in the bathroom.
Showers are terrible, with very low pressure and not very good shower head.
1st floor very noisey as there are bars below.
Breakfast supplied in price but very basic and coffee is terrible.
It is adequate for a bed and showering but if you staying indoors a long time, may not be the best.
