New Naderi was a positive surprise, especially after having stayed in self-defined and overpriced 5-star hotels in Northern Tehran.
Tehran has a real problem when talking about accommodations (overpriced, especially compared with what is offered and to the rest of country) - there are NO nice hotels. Period. But New Naderi is probably the best deal.
Rooms are old, service is non-existent, swimming pool has been a crater since the Revolution, and staff doesn't speak English... But what was important was there: rooms were clean and surprisingly quiet, especially in a noisy city like Tehran, and staff did the best it could to help.
Also, the hotel is located in the safe diplomatic area, right in the city centre, and steps away from, for example, Manouncheri Street.
Next time in Tehran, I will go back there, not in one of those overrated & overpriced (while similarly old) hotels in Northern Tehran
