Not knowing at all what to expect from our hotel in Tehran we were very positively surprised by Escan Hotel. They let us check-in very early when we arrived and were in general very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not in the very best location but taxis are everywhere and cheap in Tehran.

The rooms are nice, clean and quiet, even though not the biggest.

The restaurant at the hotel served good food both for breakfast and lunch. We liked the hotel very much and stayed there a second time on the way home after touring Iran.

I have just returned from a 15-day family trip (with wife and 21-year-old son) to Iran, with overnight stays in Tehran, Shiraz, Kerman, Yazd and Isfahan.
In Tehran, at the beginning and the end of the trip, we spent a total of three nights (Dec20, Jan2-3) at Escan Hotel in a single and a double room. Escan is located in a relatively quiet side street within easy walking distance of busy shopping streets and subway stations. The facilities are new (except the old TVs, but who cares about these), the bathrooms are modern and well stocked with everything (I did find the shower enclosure a bit small, though), our rooms were clean, well lit and well heated (thermostat on the wall allows individual operation). The restaurant and the coffee shop are somewhat overpriced by local standards but still dirt cheep for overseas visitors. Staff spoke good English, were attentive, helpful and polite.
My overall conclusion is that Escan is an excellent place to stay in Tehran, without any significant shortcomings.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces away from the street to avoid the morning traffic noise.

We stayed a total of 3 nights at the hotel. Located not in the best neighborhood but close to metro and House of Artists. very convenient. Clean rooms with very comfortable bed and good shower. However, all twin and double rooms face the street and can be quite noisy. Staff speak good English and breakfast is pretty good, by Iranian standard.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights prior to joining a tour of Iran. Booked by email via their website with no problem, also arranging through the hotel a transfer from the airport as my flight arrived late in the evening. Very well appointed, clean rooms and an excellent restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful. At the time of my stay (October 2013) a single room was USD60 including breakfast. Good value.

Good value for money. Clean rooms, good location and friendly and helpful staff. 10 min walk to metro station and pick up from airport also worked well (a bit expensive though). Definitely a recommendation.

Close to downtown Teheran, ease to move by taxi to more relevant sightseeing in Tehran. The hotel is a truly 3 stars with services and management of a 5 stars. We spent a couple of nights on recommendation from Tripadvisor and it surely was a great decision. We took a suite that was ample, comfortable and spotless. Location not noisy. Running water, AA and everything else worked fine. Receptionists very helpful and caring. Restaurant with not many choices but solid good. Breakfast with more variety than most hotels in Iran. All in all an excellent choice in Tehran and although we booked for top hotels all over, this is one of the best we stayed in Iran. Congratulations to its management.

I stayed this hotel for 2 nights before I leave Iran. It is rated 3 star but I believe it could be 4 star. It is best hotel I stayed in Iran. The room is clean. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast is good.
