Very very impressive. A huge collection.
Must see the Mayur Aashan from India which had the Kohinoor diamond the biggest diamond in world on it. Which is now in england.
Must visit it worth.
There is a point where you only take in so much. The treasury is a case in point. The collection is breathtaking on all levels but it can be hard to focus on the truly magnificent and precious simply because of the sheer quantity. Amongst the displays you will find intricate and exquisite works of art both in design and quality of the stone. Some of the most beautiful pieces come from the personal collection of the last Queen of Iran. She commissioned various pieces which combined European craftsmanship with an Iranian sensibility. Be armed, it gets very busy. A guide is helpful as there is little explanation available.
the museum is open 2pm to 5 pm on business days and the museum staff are very friendly- however they do not allow kids under 12 yrs old though. apparently the jewelries are in a big vault ( safe room ) and in case of emergency , they would be forced to shut it closed and they don't want possible panicking by kids.
but the collection is priceless. though i believe they should have a better interior design to let the jewels show and glow.
they were simply just too many of them.
I recommend you to buy a booklet before going in the vault , which explains about each case and jewels inside it for 40,000 IRR ( 1 Euro) - they were free live guides( native speaking) around the hall as well.

Hello this is Medhi & his lady from the Iran Cosy Hotel who advised us to go there ! it was really interesting & astonished ! Museum down in a bank (outside look for a bank not for a museum), the jewels are awesome, even the biggest diamond in the world plus emeralds, crowns etc..., quite incredible !
If you like jewelry dont miss it is an ancient heritage which gathered here during hundred years dont miss it if you are in Tehran.
