Stayed here twice,on arrival for 2 nights and again on return to fly out , for 1 night. Had a bad welcome at reception on our first visit , something about our papers not being in order. Must have affected the room which we were given as our room on the second visit was much better. Average room with balcony and an advantage is an in house restaurant.

Well, I stayed 4 times in this Hotel and they only reason was because this hotel has a contract with my company and i had to stay in this hotel while i am in a mission in Tehran. The hotel is old but Ok. REMEMBER: Only ask for the hotels at the back side of the Garden and only the rooms which have balcony or windows toward the Garden. Because the rooms in other building are old and rooms which have window toward back street are not quiet.

ROOMS: Rooms are large enough and they are averagely clean. The Decoration is out of date and they have no special facilities. However they have fridge and old TV.

BED: Beds are not comfortable but they are large.

BATHROOM: Bathrooms are large and clean (2 Star Hotel Standard).

FOOD: Food is the worst aspect of this hotel. I could not even eat my diner and i reject the food and went out for dining. For sure, the below normal cheap restaurants of Tehran offer better food than this hotel restaurant. Breakfast is really limit ted (Only a small amount of cheese and butter, a cup of team, one very small pack of carrot or cherry jam, one glass of orange juice and some bread. Milk and Eggs are also served per your order but free. Staffs at restaurant are helpful but not friendly.

ROOM SERVICE: Only Tea, Bottled Water and Nescafe are served upon your call to room service. There is no mini bar in your room (Even not bottled water). The guys who bring tea and Nescafe are fast but not friendly.

STAFF: There are two girls at the reception during day. They are charming, friendly and helpful. But there are one or two old man during night shift, You can not believe how angry and unhelpful are they.

CAFE NET: There are 7-8 Computers in the cafe net. All old and half of them are not working at all. Internet speed is good based on Iranian general Iranian speed standards.

PARKING: Well, there is abundant land next to the hotel owned by hotel (Maybe for development plans) which is used as parking. It is safe and private (only for hotel guests and staffs) but you car should remain under the sun for whole day cause it is not covered. Using parking is against a fee.

LOCATION: Location is great for those travelers who want to remain in Central Tehran. This hotel is truly located in the central of Tehran between large administrative buildings and banks. However, at nights the location is terribly quiet and almost nobody passes by. Even shops are closed in this area at nights (Despite Tehran residential and commercial zones which is alive until late night).

TAXI: The hotel uses a Taxi Service center nearby. Taxis are usual and prices are usual too. It takes some time until the Taxi comes.

ELEVATOR: Well, Hotel's lift is a disaster. It is disastrously noisy and even awakes me at night.

GARDEN: Well, having a garden is truly an advantage for a budget hotel. This hotel has a lovely small garden between its two buildings which is a great spot to drink tea/Nescafe (Coffee is not served at all) and smoke during night (When the weather is not too hot or too cold).

AIR CONDITION: Air condition of rooms are noisy but warm enough during freezing cold winters nights and cool enough during hot summer days. (I have been in this hotel both in January and June and the air condition was good).

CLEANING: While the cleaning service of bathrooms are sufficient, unfortunately the rooms (carpets, curtains and bed covers) are not sufficiently clean themselves.

LAUNDRY: I used its laundry service for two times and both times it was fast and good.

VALUE: I am quite sure that you may find better hotels with same price in Tehran, but generally this hotel has not good value of Money.

FACILITIES/ENTERTAINMENT: Apart from a Cafe Net and out fashioned Coffee Shop/Restaurant this hotel has no other entertainment and facility.

With the first look inside hotel, maybe you think that this hotel is creepy but it is not that much bad. And while entrance is like very small hostels, but the hotel is quite large (I think two separate buildings at two sides of garden 5 floors with more than 10-15 rooms in each floor)

Generally i recommend this hotel because of being quiet and averagely Ok for budget travelers.

We stayed here as this was the starting point for Intrepid Travel's Iran journey. We had twin beds that were like sleeping on stone. Thankfully with diy air mattresses, I finally got to sleep. If you get a rock hard room, ask for another straight away. There are double rooms. Upside, showers are good & I didn't find anyone elses hairs.
Hotel has a restaurant as it is a stretch to find anything else close by.

If you book a taxi at reception, make sure it is a taxi & not the owner's brothers, uncles cousin friend. Our taxi was under repairs at the front door at 01.30 and then stalled on the highway with promises of one more minute. After one minute too many, we hailed a cab in the middle of a highway with cars going 120 miles around us and got to the airport with 15 minutes to go.

nb:photos to be loaded when husband gets home.

We stayed in a room at the back, behind the garden (660.000 rial / USD 66). The room was large, clean and very quit (don't forget that this place is in central Tehran!). From the balcony we could see the garden. Large en clean bathroom. Girls at reception were not so friendly though. And watch out for the taxi service in the hotel. These taxi's charged us more than taxi's at the street. One taxi driver told us he had to pay a part to the hotel. I don't know this is true, in the hotel they said this was a mistake. Breakfast was not so special, very common like other (and cheaper hotels). Just bread, cheese (not fresh), carrot jam, egg and thee. No fruit or tomato. But we enjoyed staying in this hotel, most of it because of the nice and quit room and the central position in Tehran.

Hotel is in a good location not too far from the museums and Ferdosi Square. Rooms are dated but comfortable. Ours had a balcony overlooking the courtyard so was quiet and had plenty of light. Staff don't speak too much English and the internet is really expensive, but otherwise a good budget hotel.

  • Liked — Good location, good price for Tehran
  • Disliked — Expensive internet

Rude surly staff and indifferent unhelpful management added to the uncomfortable atmosphere of this hotel.
Hotel facilities were poor; no provision for tea/ coffee making, old towels poor bedding and dirty rooms.
The lift barely worked and the hotel was extremely noisy with no regard for guests.
Breakfast and dinner was of a very poor standard.
Vey bad value for money.
