Went there and it seemed poorly maintained anyway. Sign said closed for renovation. Entry is around 2-3KD. Don't count on taxi drivers or hotel concierge to tell you that its open!

Certainly the most well known landmark in Kuwait. The iconic Kuwait Towers are far more impressive than i imagined. They represent Kuwait's progressive and economic renaissance.

More than 40,000 enameled steel discs cover the three spheres in eight shades of blue, green and gray, reminiscent of the tiled domes of historic mosques. The discs are arranged in spiral patterns around the spheres giving them amazing beauty. And to think they are more than 30 years old!

Unfortunately the revolving restaurant is currently closed for renovations however i visit is still completely worth it, just to bask in their beauty.

It isn't the Manhattan Skyline but it's definitely breath taking! What's more, it's quite dynamic. New skyscrapers are coming up, higher, more impressive, and more architecturally complex. Provides the perfect view in the early morning or evening. The marvelous Al Hamra Firdous Tower is distinctly visible across the Kuwait Bay. So is the National Bank of Kuwait Tower, Burgan Bank Tower, and Liberation Tower.

The towers are closed in order to carry out a number of renovation works to improve the towers' interiors, glass, air-conditioning, etc. A news paper article stated that the works are planned to be completed in 2018 !!!

The 1976 inaugurated Kuwait Towers overlook the Arabian Gulf and are the most distinctive landmark in Kuwait.

The main tower is 187 meters high and supports two spheres. The largest sphere contains a nice restaurant with the lower half of the sphere acting as a water reserve. The smaller sphere has a revolving observatory and a cafe.

The second tower single sphere is a water tank.

The third tower is just an illumination tower.

Once the maintenance works are completed the towers are surely worth a visit, especially if you are traveling with kids
