“Good executive hotel, not for tourists”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

The hotel is very apprpriate for business, clean and comfortable, competent staff, etc. However, if you want to go out for a walk and see how the kuwaitians live, have dinner in a nice and cozy restaurant, consider staying in Salmyia.

Room Tip: I always prefer high floors to have mire chance of a good view.

Really impressed by my stay here. Yes it is expensive there is no doubt but it has excellent service from the staff and excellent facilities for the business traveller. The pick up and drop off from the airport and arranging your VISA service are great and save a lot of hassle when you arrive after a long trip. It has a good location, a well equipped gym and the rooms were very comfortable. Tremendous choice at breakfast and the evening meals I had in the restaurants were also very good although the steak house was very over priced. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front. Those at the back overlook the graveyard!

There really isn't much one can write about this hotel, as throughout it is excellent. Rooms are well designed, comfortable and well equipped. Staff first rate, dining very good. The only two criticisms are .... One creamer for the coffee machine, and the phone rings very quietly indeed! Otherwise first rate throughout.

We redeemed some Marriott Reward points for an Executive Room and paid some money to get an upgrade. We were upgraded to an Executive Suite. It was very good, but the view was bad. Out suite overlooked a graveyard!! Everything else was excellent. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Food at the executive lounge and at the breakfast area in the ground floor was delicious with very good variety. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool a lot. However, there was no covered parking area for the cars. They are parked in front of the hotel.

This is one the more expensive hotels in Kuwait City. It's mostly just an ordinary 4 or 5 star business hotel. But, one feature makes it truly awful: smoking is permitted everywhere. Even where there are 'no-smoking' signs, people smoke anyway and the staff do nothing about it.
My room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it stunk of old, stale cigarettes. Awful!
The food was pretty miserable too.

Excellent Building, with marbles and wll designed rooms with clean big bathroom ,very bright and comfortable.
While is an expensive hotel the environment and service by the people there make you feel like a King in your own Kingdom.
Food is great and served by experienced staff.

Room Tip: Try the executive floor to meet the art of service and dining, especially your breakfast

Kuwait City is not the most exciting of places to visit (I was there on business) - but this hotel made the trip pleasurable. While the hotel was a bit on the expensive side for what you get, my room and bathroom was impeccably clean, spacious, bright and comfortable. I ate in the Japanese restaurant and had room service - food was of excellent quality. The breakfast buffet is truly outstanding in terms of the variety and quality.
The service was most definitely JW Marriott standards. It must be a rule that employees must say "Hello" to you whenever they can see you...it almost was overwhelming at times - especially after a 15+ hour flight being greeted by what felt like 10 different people. The front desk/reception staff were great. I also used a car service for appointments which was very efficient and made a stressful day of work easier.
One thing that would be a great addition: Allow customers to book car service/airport transportation online when booking a room--or have an easy to find "Virtual Concierge" webpage. It was very difficult to find an e-mail address for the hotel. (I prefer e-mailing to calling to make these kinds of reservations).
If I return to Kuwait, I will return to this hotel.
