“Best customer service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

The best thing about this Marriott property is the staff and their collective attitude. It is all toward being friendly, resolving problems and making sure the customer is always happy. This is by far the best Marriott team I have experienced.

We were in room 1228, the executive lounge floor. The view was not that fantastic but that is because the way the hotel is oriented. One side is toward the graveyard adjacent to the hotel and the other is toward the city side. The business center is excellent and free for use by all guests. WIFI works for PCs tablets, etc. but for some reason we could not get Blackberry internet even though it said it was connected. But that is a Blackberry issue.

Breakfast in La Brasserie is varied and good. At the executive lounge they have continental breakfast in the morning, snacks throughout the day, tea at 3pm and dinner at 530pm. All services were excellent. Free private car pickup from and back to the airport without a hitch. Email between the customer and hotel was promptly answered unlike some hotels.

Internet was receivable in our room though at times the connectivity was not perfect. Lots of closet space, very comfortable king bed, great bathroom, especially the shower. When you turn the overhead faucet off, it does not drip! One problem inherent in Kuwait is the inability to make the room warmer. We had to open the window just to warm the room up even with the A/C off.

The business center has lots of PCs. We had to borrow converters for 240 to 110VAC because the two 110VAC plugs, like in almost every hotel, are too close together to allow more than one device to be plugged in.

I highly recommend this hotel and especially the service team!

Room Tip: The hotel has 15 floors and is generally not full. Most any room should do fine.

Stayed at the JW Marriott Hotel in Kuwait City on a recent business trip. The hotel was very nice, upscale, good service, and friendly staff. The location was not particularly inviting since there was not a lot within walking distance. Right next door is a very old and rundown building that appears to be abandoned...but I suppose you cannot blame that on the Marriott. The breakfast was tasty with a good variety of foods. When traveling to that area again, I would definitely consider staying there.

In recalling everything about our stay there was nothing that wasn't exceptional. Some of the key features were a very good restaurant in the hotel, great rooms and room service, one of Kuwait's exclusive shopping malls is attached to the bottom floor (where we found a Starbucks). All the staff were very attentive to our needs, e.g. room service came around in the afternoon to check it we needed anything including snacks, drinks, etc. The staff were superb and so very helpful and friendly. We had a business presentation in the hotel and the Dina was so very helpful. The hotel is located downtown and just a few blocks from Kuwait Bay. If we come back to Kuwait City we will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Street side rooms have a great view of sunsets on the bay.

Location is excellent for business and the hotel caters best for business and conference attendees. The hotel forms one end of the Salhiya complex which is ideal if you need to stretch your legs but don't fancy the 50C heat outside. Brilliant gym and now has a top fitness instructor Kolon available to help guide and instruct in use of the equipment.
I've been visiting the hotel regularly for several months and the staff are always friendly, the rooms excellent and there are many restaurants within and around the hotel. Highly recommended.

While the JW Marriott Kuwait has a tired look about it, it is far from the reality. The staff at this hotel is superb. The executive lounge staff was the best I have seen in a while. Helpful, courteous and always available, but never obtrusive. The rooms are very clean and appointed OK. They are not the sleek new room setting's for new JW's but the staff smiles and helpfulness make that a non-issue. The location for me was perfect. Availability of drivers or taxis was never a concern.

Stayed there about a year ago and once again last week . Can't spot a thing . This is by far one of the best hotels I stayed in .

Great location , very friendly, smiling, helpful & professional staff ( Suresh at the restaurant , Kolon at the Gym and all other staff members thank you for making my stay joyful ) .

Very good food , atmosphere , Spa and very nice clean tidy rooms .

Great for both business and leisure .

will defiantly be my choice when i get back to Kuwait City.

Room Tip: High Floor in the front to have a view of the gulf area .
