Stayed as part of a tour group. Good, average hoted with average rooms and average breakfast breakfast in an OK location (not downtown Beirut but in easy walking distance of an area with restaurants and shops and close to the Corniche).
NB Don't jump up and down in the lift or it will stop between floors (as I found out...)

we stayed in 2 double rooms for 5 days in Late April 2012 .....The hotel Rooms are nice and clean and the location is definitely good ....... staff is cooperative yet not so friendly ......... view from balcony was not very nice and the place is a bit noisy (a Building was under construction back then may be that's why ) .. Still recommend it

If you want a good base for your trip this place is great!
The room was all we wanted, clean and quiet, a good place to sleep.
Average sized rooms, ours had a balcony too. Staff friendly and helpfull.
Well sited in Beirut for walking into town/beach and downtown.
There are many places to have breakfast in the city why stay at the hotel.
If your hotel is only a place to store your things and sleep while you visit a new city this is great, if you only want to spend a few days actually at the hotel then you will find better.

i stayed at this hotel for 9 days in Jan 2012 , the room for 2 people cost me 70$ per night , the staff was not very cooperative when i asked them about the bus directions ,also the door man did not open the door several times for us and tried to ignore us , but the rooms was clean, with LCD TV and many channels , the breakfast was good if u compare it with other 3 star hotels although one day the worker was making tea for him self and he want to use a teaspoonful and when he found it dirty he return it back to be used by guests and take another one and keep the dirty in place.

A very gloomy room with a strange smell, the shower/bathroom was very grubby with peeling paint. It was almost impossible to open the french windows to the balcony more than a few inches as they were stuck. Breakfast was very poor, tasted stale and old.

The staff however were helpful, not over friendly but pleasant.

The area wasn't too bad, not very interesting but there were a number of basic restaurants nearby, for good food it was necessary to get a taxi and go further afield.

Very overpriced

Hotel is just off the Hamra street, so quite close to everything, except night life for party. If you want to go out to fancy bars, you will need a taxi. Which is quite cheap anyway, but don't take the one standing in front of the hotel. That is expensive and they will overcharge you, and the problem that the hotel supports this. The guys at the reception will recommend them.
Room was ok, but not that clean. Ours had a small kitchen with a fridge, but with no other equipments, not even a glass. We had to ask for everything, and majority of the people at the reception were not really freindly.
I had some problems with the payment. They put a deposit on my card before our arrival, and upon our leaving I had to pay,. At the end I was of course not double charged, but deposit was not removed for quite a long time and being on a budget trip, this was annoying.
We were here May 2010, only giving the reference now.
