Chinese cuisine ranks among our favourite, besides Italian and Thai! Since moving to Beirut, we were constantly on the look out for good, authentic Chinese and 'Chopsticks' just wasn't cutting it for us. A colleague and friend introduced us to this restaurant two years back and since then we have coming to this restaurant at least twice every month. We love most dishes (we haven't tried duck etc) but we have our favourites! Steamed vegetable/chicken dumplings, rice (everything they have on offer), hot and sour cabbage ( I even eat the red chillies in this dish), chicken spicy are what we order most of the time. The dishes are real value for money! Don't forget to ask them for their chilli sauce, for adding that extra kick to the dishes! In short, the waitresses may be dour, but that has never stopped us from visiting this place again...and again...and again :))

Flavourless and blah. The quality was equivalent to the kind of chinese food you get in a shopping centre. Hot and sour soup had too much vinegar, steamed chicken dumpling was a gross lump of dough, spicy beef wasn't spicy, sweet and sour shrimp tasted like sauce from a can and the noodles were dry and bland.

This is by far the best Chinese Restaurant in Beirut, I have been searching for one for a while!

It is very clean, friendly and fast service, and best aspect is that it is at a very reasonable price.
Always leave a bit of room for dessert and order all 3 kinds: mix the leechees (Chinese fruit) with the vanilla ice cream and caramelised bananas, an absolute delight.

Tip: If you do not want to pay for parking, try looking for spots on the street. The parking lot opposite the restaurant is expensive on weekend nights.

Our children's Chinese teacher recommended Little China as the only authentic place to eat Chinese food in Beirut. Located on Monot Street, the restaurant is 5 to 10-minute easy walking distance from Beirut Central District; it also has a large parking lot directly across the street. As the restaurant is on the 1st floor (as opposed to ground floor), you have to climb a set of stairs to enter the restaurant.

We went for a family lunch and weren't disappointed! From dumplings and hot and sour soup as appetizers to sweet and sour chicken, beef noodles, sizzling beef, and spicy chicken, the dishes were flavorful and tasty. The soup and spicy chicken weren't as 'hot' as we would have liked, but they did provide extra spice on the side. The carmel banana, vanilla ice cream and lychees were a nice way to end the meal.

The total for our appetizers, main dishes, and dessert came to an average of $12/person.

The ambiance was typical of a Chinese restaurant, and the Chinese pop music was very nice. The only downside was that the waitress seemed as if she didn't want to be here; she was agitated and brusque throughout.

The owner, however, who arrived halfway through our lunch, was warm and inviting, engaging our kids in their limited vocabulary.

Overall, this was a great place to eat, and we'll definitely be back.
