Stunning high rise with fabulous views over the marina and bay. Large well equipped rooms as good as any four seasons anywhere. Only down side is the slowness of the wi-fi internet access, this maybe a Beirut issue rather than the hotel.

I does not happen very often that I stay at a large property and after one day the entire staff knows my name. Service level was exceptional and finally a concierce that really knew their city and country. She could name me restaurants in every village in Lebanon and all of them were great - local - selections. The gym is small but has everything you need. The roof top pool is great, an oasis of tranquility in otherwise noisy Beirut. One thing I would do different: it's not possible to order (and pay for) individual selections on the breakfast menu. It's the buffet or nothing. But then I asked for it and they gave me individual prices. In a city like Beirut you don't want to fill up on breakfast but leave room for snacks and meals throughout the day... all in all, perfect stay, and most personal service I have ever experienced in any Four Seasons. Great staff.

Room Tip: Either room is fine (sea side or city side). There is still construction in front of the hotel, so y...

And the hotel in Beirut is no exception. The location is excellent. The rooms have fabulous views of the bay...both 'Downtown Beirut' and the stunning esplanade are a short walk away. The famous Pigeon Rock is five minutes away by cab. The hotel is next to the Sea, the shops, the sights, the promenade, restaurants, and Starbucks. Let's not ask for much more.
The service is great. One of the couples in our group 'misplaced' their child for nearly an hour (what happens in Beirut...stays in Beirut...) and the hotel staff turned turtle trying to find him. It turned out that the kid was sleeping under the desk in the room itself, but the staffers left nothing unturned in the entire property. The following night another friend sprained her ankle and the Duty Manager was excellent with First Aid. The last night yet another had a bad asthma attack and both the Doctor and the Cortisone injection were arranged in minutes.
Apart from sundry injuries...the breakfast was excellent, I loved the Eggs Benedict....with the Yolk runny just right...do try the local Lebanese breakfast dishes, I do not remember the names but you can ask....they were very unusual, and delicious.
Remember that in Beirut, indoor smoking is still not a federal crime, so think before you turn disdainfully at guests smoking in the Elevator. It's really okay.
The Bar...in deep hues of red, chocolate and burgundy...it's enveloping warmth with sink-down velvet, leather and flickering candles. We love.
Beirut has it all...and this hotel works as the perfect place to stay and check it out!

Room Tip: The Sea View rooms are great, but the City view is nice as well. The corner rooms are larger and hav...

Beyrouth has it all....history, style, superb restaurants and the Four Seasons. The best part of the hotel, in addition to the views and design quality, it the staff, they are wonderful. The hotel offers great views of the Beirut Marina and the city, the Beirut Souk (a shopping area) is very close. We enjoyed jogging on the boulevard in front of the hotel, which was full of Lebanese families out for exercise as well. Lebanon offers a stark contrast between new (Beirut) and old (Baalbek and Byblos), and the scars of the civil war are still clearly visible in the yet to be restored buildings, so if you have a chance to go, take it, Lebanon and Beirut are worth the effort.

Room Tip: We are from an Island, so we were not looking for a sea view, which will be good on any floor, for c...

From the airport pickup to check-in to a one week's stay, the Four Seasons delivers on all fronts. The courtesy and caring of its staff is second to none; nothing is too much trouble. Especially helpful is the packaage provided on check-in - lists of restaurants, sights, etc with detailed descriptions. Also, the hotel provides a variety of sightseeing excursions that are available for those wishing to experience more of Lebanon.

The rooms are well-outfitted; the rooftop pool/bar is great for afternoon relaxation and becomes a very cool club scene at night.

All in all, a great stay. You won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: Even the city-facing rooms have a great view of the town and the hills. Especially beautiful at nigh...
