We stay at a double room for two nights. It was luxerious and very tidy. Its staffs was very good and polite. We went Beirut at March and as it was low season, we can reserve Queen Homes by a low price. So don't forget to bargain for price :)

Room cleanliness excellent

Hotel location away from humdrum but then may be too quiet for some looking for lights and glitter . Also very close to some affordable food joints catering to AUB students

No tea coffee milk sugar sachets in room but to be fair fridge , microwave, kettle , hair dryer was there.so expect to buy supplies

If you are someone with a waist of more than 38 be prepared to struggle to get into the shower! The shower door gets blocked by the WC leaving very little space to get in after some gymnastics

Bathroom will get wet after the shower due leakage

Boring breakfast And If you ere someone who starts the day early then be prepared for delays. But very helpful staff at breakfast

Staff at reception was low on energy and had nothing to offer as info !

Great nanny at affordable cost so don't hesitate to leave kids behind if you have to go pub hopping at night

Nasty & Dirty. The drain would not go down, the whole bathroom looks like a Frat-house. The outside looks nice, well located, but dirty and nasty inside. They have 4 hair dryers for the whole hotel. I asked for one, they gave it to me, then asked for it back.
We stayed later at the Le Bristol. Not as well located, but for $10 more, much better accommodations.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!

I read the previous reviews and was really concerned about the time I would spend at this hotel in late May.
I am pleased to say that overall the hotel was actually very reasonable and pleasant. My only real criticism would have to be something that was picked up on in previous reviews, that is the standard of the bathroom finish.
I stayed in 2 different rooms on separate occassions in May. I work on the principle that every room should be acceptable and no patron should need to ask to be moved.
In each case the bathroom fittings were perfectly good but appeared to have been installed by 'cowboys', wall tiles were broken and loose, masking tape left on the wall following the ceiling having been painted, loose towel rails and a shower enclosure that leaks and a door that only opens part way because it hits the toilet bowl.
This did not ruin my experience, but had the bathroom been better I would have rated the hotel 3+, but my opinion is very much 2+ or 3.
I the UK this hotel would reasonably be expected to fit into 3*, but if you are not happy with the bathroom, ask to be moved, sooner or later they will get the message.
Beds very comfortable and good range of channels on the television.
Otherwise service and cleanliness was good, external noise is a downfall but the city is noisy anyway.

Room Tip: Check the bathroom first.

A disappointing hotel with a flashy exterior but not enough substance beneath the style. The hotel is located close to the Hamra district, about 10 minutes walk from the Corniche and 20 minutes from the Downtown district. Walking isn't the pleasantest or easiest activity due to the amount of traffic and difficult crossing roads but it's still perfectly possible, if not every other car that passes is a taxi desperate for your trade.

The hotel has large, modern looking rooms which are adequately clean and have en suite bathrooms. The beds were comfortable in both the rooms I stayed in. They have a large number of suite type rooms with two bedrooms plus living room and/or kitchen - these would be good for those having a longer stay or families who want to be together, but fairly redundant on a short stay.

The bathrooms aren't great - they look good initially but the showers are cramped and not well sealed, they smell damp and sulphurous - the first room I stayed was particularly bad. Toiletries are provided.

Breakfast is a buffet of mainly cold with a couple of hot options, choice isn't massive but there's enough here for most people to manage something.

Staff speak good English, not all were as helpful as they could have been but no major concerns.

I had difficulty sleeping due to loud traffic noise almost throughout the night - and I'm a heavy sleeper. Not sure if the situation would be any better elsewhere in the city though - it's a noisy place with lots of traffic and car horns.

Probably wouldn't stay here again as Beirut has other options available.

This hotel was booked for me for a Business trip. It was supposed to be a flat-hotel. I stayed in a smart room and in a family suite. This is the worst hotel I stayed at in a Business trip.
General state: The hotel seams recent but is already in a bad shape. Most things were poor quality and are falling apart: shower, kitchen, curtains, parquet floor, etc.
Staff: Some of them are friendly, especially at the reception.
Breakfast: The worst I have ever seen in a hotel. Very little choice and poor product quality. Coffee is available as a self service most of the time. I learned by watching another group that they can make you an expresso for example if you ask. So I ask now every morning. But the staff does not inform you that you can do that.
Cleanness: The hotel is not very clean in general. A colleague of mine found old food in the rug in her suite. There is a lot of dust. Windows and walls are not clean. Is seems you can make them clean better if you ask at the reception. In the suite the sofa smelled moldy.
Noise: The insulation in the hotel is very bad. You can hear every noise in the street. The hotel has two sides: city and sea. The city side is very noisy. I was up until 3 am because of car noises. The sea side is less noisy because the street has far less activity. All suites bedrooms are on the city side.
Location and view: The hotel is well located; it is near the sea, close to Hamra Street, the American university and not very far from the downtown (20 min walk). The view is not nice. You are very close to buildings cross the street and even rooms with “sea view” can see very little sea due other buildings in the way.
Rooms and suites: Generally speaking, rooms are not well designed. A lot of little details show that there was no thought in designing them, like a step in bathroom door that I kept knocking my feet into during the first week, or a kitchen with difficult access to drawers and to the fridge. I had a suite with a kitchen where the “kitchen” was on the entry of the suite but you had to go around in a very narrow passage to access the mini-bar or the drawers. You also have very few electric plugs in the rooms. There generally two in each room, one under the desk and one in the bathroom. If you are lucky, you may find one behind the bed or you may be able to unplug the TV and use its plug.
Rooms have no tableware whatsoever even if they have a kitchen. Remember, there are supposed to be apartment like. In the normal room I had no glasses for example. I think I was supposed to drink the little whisky in the mini-bar from the little bottle. In the suite that had kitchen, I had no cookware at all. Not even a glass.
Room service: Avoid sea food. Chicken quassedias are fine. Check the bill, they charged me once for things I didn’t order. Also, prices are higher than advertised in the room menu.
Conclusion: This is one of these hotels that look very nice on the website but are really poor. I think they get away with this because they present themselves as an apartment hotel and not a classic one. Avoid if you are a Business traveler. At least if you go, negotiate your price and be aware of the real picture.

Room Tip: It seems rooms on the 6th floor are the best
