“nice apartment hotel in Hamra”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2013

we stayed at the 35 rooms for 5 nights in May 2013, having booked a 2 bedroom apartment. As a group of four (1 couple + 2 other persons) the rooms + the living area perfectly suited our needs. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms not immensly spacious but still big enough fo a week-long stay. Bathrooms are clean, but you won't manage to take a shower without setting parts of the floor under water. Living area comes with kitchenette (only basic dishware, but a large fridge including minibar) and SAT TV. Soundproofing is good, which is important because of traffic + backup generators.

Staff is super friendly, helpful and attentive. They even managed the street parking fees for our rental car. If you come to Beirut th first time, their airport pick-up service (27$) is recommended. Wifi is complimentary.

The location is great (1 Block from Hamra st), everything you need is within 300 meters walking distance and you can easily direct taxi drivers to Hamra street and let them drop you off at the Corner of Cairo.

Breakfast is being served on the ground floor till 10 am and consists of the typical lebanese selection (foul, hommus, labneh, tomatoes, cucumber, white cheese, olives) + some western additions (pancakes, toadt, jam, eggs etc.). It is not five stars, but still pretty good.

we can recommend 35 rooms to anybod who is visiting Beirut together with friends

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was very big and very nice decorated. We had very colorful wall with a taxi figure on it.
Location is just great. We walked to everywhere from the hotel. Rue 78 on Hamra Street is very nice to enjoy a drink.
It will not be easy to sleep windows open since there is lot of noise coming from the street. But I slept like babies after closing the window. The bed was very very comfortable.
Breakfast was very nice, everything was there.
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
In conclusion I will definitely stay there if I come back !

Nice clean rooms, all needed amenities. Modern and trendy. Location is fantastic and staff are extremely friendly. The breakfast was standard, nothing great but nothing bad. Would stay here again. I thought the price was a bit expensive but compared to other hotels in the area it's standard. Only problem was the airport pickup. Had to wait 40 minutes for the driver to come and then still had to pay the $27.

Been back to this hotel late March 2013 - booked directly by email. Surprised to receive an upgrade for the second time; the suite had a large terrace - very nice when you are a smoker. Check-in done in a couple of minutes. The suite was clean and quiet; TV with 140 something channels, including French channels and RAI 1 (Italian), lots of movie channels too. Excellent wi-fi connection (I use Skype to call home). Breakfast good as usual ( I normally have some labné, olives, cucumber, tomatoes, with tea or nescafe, all of which available at all times). Staff very helpful with luggage and transport.
One suggestion: have a scale in the hotel for guests to weigh their luggage. I had filled my suitcase with sweets and local products, and had to re-arrange my suitcases at the airport to avoid excess charges.
Will definitely come back.

Perfectly located in one of the busiest streets in Hamra, 35 rooms in a cozy little hotel with a lovely staff. I had organized a trip with 14 people to Beirut and all stayed at the hotel. Mostly everyone got upgrades, the staff bent backwards to welcome everyone and attend to everyone's need. Price is affordable. Breakfast is good. Internet is free. They now have double glazed windows which means you can't hear all the commotion outside. The rooms are spacious, some even have big terraces too! And if you're in a big group, you can book a 2 bedroom apartment. You are a 3 min walk away from pubs, restaurants, fashion stores, banks etc.
All my guests loved it. I would definitely be back.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade. It comes with a living area.

..or in this case a hotel by its website.

The hotel's website is impressive and highlights the quirky decor with some excellent bright photos that give a boutique feel that the hotel seems to be aiming for. While there are some nice design features, overall we were disappointed due to the overall state of our room - quite small with a dark 'dingy' bathroom. Some of the common areas were badly maintained.

The location is very good and the majority of staff were friendly and helpful.

Not a bad choice, just not as good as the website might suggest.

Pros:

- Good location - just off Hamra street and a few doors up from a great baklava bakery
- close to 'barbar' restaurant
- friendly staff (one notable exception during our stay)
- reasonable value

Cons:
- having to get daily wi-fi codes for each device
- cleanliness/appearance of corridors / carpets & the single very small lift
- dark, dilapidated bathroom
- small cramped room
- breakfast could be improved

It is located near to Hamra street which contains several shops and restaurants, it is also very close to barbar restaurants which offers all kinds of food, drinks and icecream.
The hotel in general was perfect with its stylish, amazing drawings, clean rooms, and a good service, and the most important thing that the staff are very kind, friendly and helpful we used to ask them any question we want and they helped us to konw what good places to go in Bierut. The breakfast is also good and contains sevral kinds of food.
In addition to free WIFI , which is considered an important thing for most people.
overall it is a comfortable, nice hotel :) ..
