Description: A wonderful Lebanese restaurant in downtown Beirut. The food was wonderful, our favourites were the grilled halloumi cheese, cheese rolls, fatoush salad and moutabel (as well as dessert with white coffee - hot rose water). The wine was also good. The decor is quite simple and modern, not a great amount of atmosphere but it was all made up by the delicious food and wonderful service which constantly looked after us. You can also smoke shisa if you wish to. Greatly located in downtown Beirut, near the central mosque. Prices are about average for a restaurant dinner in the centre of town. It was recommended to us by Hotel Albergo, and I was very much satisfied with my evening and will definitely go back.

“Delicious”
Reviewed 21 February 2012

A lebanese friend recommended karam as one of the best places in Beirut. He was right. The food was extremenly fresh and absolutely delicious! We went there for lunch on Saturday and event though we had reservations for a different restaurant on Sunday, we couldn't resist and went back to karam! The decoration is simple and it is not the trendiest place in beirut but the atmosphere is the real deal. Beautiful lebanese women, families a few foreigners. The service is impeccable and all waitors aref riendly, professional and speak at least three languages.

“By far the best Lebanese food”
Reviewed 3 February 2012

Karam is always consistent, keeps the same great food and service quality, it has the traditional lebanese perfectly presented. i go very frequently and i'm never deceived. If you are a tourist and want to have a great meal, try karam.. Make sure you make a reservation before going, the place is always crowded!

Recommend to be seTed outside in good weather to avoid the smoke, the food is great, their raw meat, the chicken liver in grenadine, their grilled meat/chicken is a must try. The kashta (cream) is a nice option if you still have a vacancy.
