The restaurant has a great ambiance and is very pleasant. Food was OK, but very expensive. Wine is a ridiculous price and there is no local wine. We were a party of 20 and they brought 1 menu. Eventually they brought a few more and then told us because we were a large party we had to limit our choices or the service would be slow. It was anyway. Painfully slow. Ordering drinks was also a problem. Some of us did not get the drinks we ordered right up until we left. Will not return, there are much better French restaurants in town with good food and service at realistic prices.

Overpriced, dreadful service, below average food and very painful experience. I'd rather recommend mc donalds than this place!

If you go to the Centrale, forget the restaurant which is expensive and a bit gloomy. You must sit on the first floor at the bar of the Centrale, built like a submarine... Order a cocktail and nibbles and you will feel very happy being in Beirut... It is usually very crowded so it's better to book places at the bar.

Chic an stylish with a simple but sophisticated menu and great wine and drinks selection. The architecture is unique with the bar up a weird lift in a tube which apparently opens up to the skies in the warmer weather. Food was great and the main restaurant downstairs again looked uber-cool. Probably a bit pricey (fortunately I wasn't paying), but worth a visit.

I recently visited this place to celebrate the birthday of our friend. Bar Centrale is a nice place with good & not too noisy music. The atmoshere was great, although the place is a bit small. They also have an outdoor restaurant with a garden viewm which is very cozy.
