Nice lunchtime venue. Menu has good variety, pasta was fresh and tasty, good wine selection.
Décor simple, waiters attentive, a nice place for a quick lunch. But the gnocchi was too stodgy, maybe an off day! Been several times and probably go again.

We go there very often and ive never seen such a consistancy in beirut. The food timing, temperature, freshness, taste have never been but excellent. The place is neat and minimalistic and never pretentious(eventhough i always find very influencial ppl, designers producers embassadors..). Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, sophie(owner and chef) is constently checking everything. She doesn't open at night giving all her effort and energy for this excellent lunch experience!

I have tried this restaurant twice and by all standards it was fine. Linguine aux langoustine is an excellent pasta dish. Gnocchi both al limone and tomato good. the dishes with mushrooms (cepes) were not that good, seems mushrooms may not be rinsed or dried enough. Their dried red pepper is EXCELLENT, unlike many other places where you are warned about how hot it is and it's NOT, this one comes with a punch!
Decor is very nice and simple. Service courteous and satisfactory.

I was invited to Marinella with some friends, to try the real Italian taste. Not even close to.
Fatty meals. The old fashion cuisine. Thinking as the more you add fat the more taste better.
Overpriced for quality and service.

I had been wanting to try Marinella for some time, having heard so much about it from friends and acquaintances, praising the quality of the dishes as some of the best in town. I was somehow disappointed when I lunched there two weeks ago. The food is good indeed, but not THAT good, and the quality actually varies with the dishes. While the starters (bruschetta and salad) were above average, the langoustine linguini was rather disappointing, with no langoustine flavour except in the two segments of langoustine added on top. My friends' risotto was good but a bit too salty. The apple crumble in the end was a disappointment. The atmosphere though is fun, loud, busy. All in all, a fun place to go to (for lunch only, since the place only opens for lunch) but don't expect something exceptional
