By far my favourite hotel to stay at in Beirut. This is more of a boutique hotel so I would not advise it to anyone wanting large and blingy lobbys...
The service at the front desk is very personal and welcoming which starts your stay off on the right tone. The hotel has recently been refurbished somewhat and I was so happy to see that they had kept their style and charm intact.
the rooms are very comfortable and very clean which is always high on my list of priorities.
My only sad surprise came when I went to the rooftop bar, the very well known SYDNEY'S bar that has existsed since before the war to see that it too had been renovated... but also redecorated.... and has unfortunately lost its charm and joined the ranks of the non-refined rather brash interiors that could be anywhere and have no history. A sad discovery. ignoring the rooftop bar, this hotel is a home away from home.
