Am writing this from the Intercon Le-Vendome. Very nice rooms and nice hotel. Bathroom is pretty small and shower is poor and very dated, however. Definately needs a do over especially for the price. I paid circa 500 USD for the room which is too much. Beirut is very expensive, but should be able to stay somewhere comparable for less. Service is very good and the people are very nice. No pool or gym, but you can use the pool across the street for free or the gym/pool at the very close intercon phoenicia for free. Location is nice--beautiful sea views and close to down town.
