I booked this hotel for its proximity. It does have the best location I believe in terms of proximity.
2 minutes to Concorde center, 3 minutes to the middle of Hamra street. It is perfectly located.. but not that much.
I have to mention that it is just next to Assafir newspaper. Assafir is one leading newspaper in Lebanon but with clear political orientation, which makes it subject to some actions. I dont know how you would see it, but there is good security because of the HQ.
the hotel has a parking but you cant use it for a long period of time. It is just used to check in and get your stuff..
Anyway..
When I chose this hotel I was confused because of the insufficient reviews, so I decided to take the risk.
The review of CunningBaldrick is well done, but I disagree with her on some matters.
When I first got into the room, I didnt like the smell. It was as if the room has not been used for a year or so. Hot water was not working in this room (due to a technical problem that was being solved)
I contacted the reception and they were very kind to give me another room.
They made me check 2 other rooms to pick one. I moved to 502. It was better though the shower was not snow-white clean, but at least it had hot water.
The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the cleaning service was fine. Best thing is the hospitality of the staff. The breakfast was great too..
A previous reviewer described them as family. This is completely true. Which makes me feel a bit guilty to point out the negatives of the hotel, but my commitment to ethical reviews gives me no other choice.
The negatives start with the neighborhood. I found it a bit scary, so make sure to keep curtains closed. The bathroom is very poor with not much amenities and towels. The floor was not perfectly clean. And the sink was blocked in the middle of the night so I had to work as a plumber to remove the tap.
Internet is not reliable. I paid for internet twice, but was unable to get good network anywhere in the hotel.

But I must say it was a pleasant experience. I felt very comfortable with the staff and can state that that was the best management team I have witnessed in Beirut.
Breakfast was really good and rich. The fruits are fresh and delicious.
We booked via expedia, and there was a misunderstanding so the guy told us that we do not have a breakfast. During the second day I was discussing it with the team and they said it was by mistake and offered me free lunch to compensate for the 2 breakfasts I missed.
That was very sweet of them. And yes, lunch was delicious.

I would recommend this hotel for their staff and for their ambitions. After all it is a 1-year old hotel, and the improvements done are great.
With this budget, you might be able to get something better, but at the end of the day it is a matter of taste.

Room Tip: Avoid room 102 Make sure to check the room, the hot water, the smell, and the services before you unpack If you want internet, you need to pay for it. Be aware that the day starts the moment he gives you the code, not when you use it for the first time. Dont trust the internet. Reconfirm if your booking is with breakfast or not.

Orient Prince Hotel, of Pan Arab Hotel Management Group, is a very new hotel, 4 months opening, renovated building turned into a hotel, at a modest price in Hamra Area in Beirut Lebanon.
At a time when prices in Beirut soar in high season, it is an attractive offer to have an Average - Low price, in a brandnew room that no one used before you.

All of this might be attractive to some, BUT.
After we booked the rooms over the phone with a very helpful staff and forgiving without the need for a pre-payment. We arrived and were greeted by the same helpful and professional staff. First room we entered were full of small flying bugs and very stuffy. So they changed the room without any problems, and the next room was perfect, except for the mildew smell in the closet. So we opted not to use the closet for the whole stay.

To keep it short, when the cleaning staff are doing their job, they do it very well and the result is a very clean room. When they bring fresh towels, they are actually clean. Bed spreads are also clean. But the staff is rude at times.

Also, we had breakfast included in the room price, which was a waste of $8. Breakfast was laid at our table by also rude staff, and consisted of just olives, labneh, local white cheese, eggs if requested but not for everyone at the table, (the chef said you have to share), as well as the usual butter and jam in small pack, and tea, or juice, but not coffee because you will have to pay for it! Like I said rude.

Wireless Internet is payable, not cheap, and poorly serviced and poor performance. There is no pool or gym or any other amenities. So this is not a hotel for business, couples, or family. It could be suitable for a solo travel or friends looking for a centrally located hotel for a modest price.

If all you are looking for is cleanliness, and who does not want that, but if you do not require anything else, this hotel is for you, simply clean and cheap and near Hamra area.

In Hamra area, you can find everything you could want all the great fast food restaurants, regular Lebanese restaurants, tons of shops of all brands, banks, hospitals, and all within a walking distance.

Room Tip: Do not buy breakfast with the room, save the money and buy what you need from the shops around of close by Supermarket, and fill your fridge.

Dear Valuable Guest,

Thanks for your kind words and your constructive criticism.
We are very keen to listen to all our guest concerns and make amends.
Thus we have taken into consideration all the weak points that you have mentioned and made them strong! I did not reply earlier because we have underwent a major rennovation to our hotel and we are now confident enough to say the following:

- Breakfast is no more served by portion to the guests, It is and has been since a long time 'Open Buffet" that is served between 7am and 10.30 am.

- The smell in both rooms that you unfortunately faced is no more since the rennovation project that is now complete fixed all these problems in the all of the hotel floors.

- Our entire team has undergone extensive "Customer Service" courses and the restaurant staff is more than helpful and welcoming than ever.

- The Open Buffet Breakfast gives more value than 8$ if compared with any breakfast that can be bought any place else. Our Open Buffet consists of the following:
Tea, Green Tea, Nescafe, Milk, Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Corn Flakes, 2 Types of Local Cheese, the famous Lebanese Labneh, Green Olives, Black Olives, Strawberry Jam, Peach Jam, Butter, Sliced fresh Tomatoes, Sliced fresh cucumbers, Boiled Eggs, Egg Omelets (customized as per guest's request), beef mortadella, turkey mortadella, fresh sliced bread (baguette and arabic bread), fresh croissants (cheese & chocolate) and fresh toast bread.

- WiFi is now free with unlimited upload and download

Hope all these changes are adequate to your needs and we hope top see you soon any time you come back to Beirut.
