“nice hotel very friendly stuff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 December 2011

Just spent 4 days at the hotel and was very impressed with not only the room, but also the efficiency and friendliness of all the staff.
I was very pleased with the way i was greeted by by the Bell Captain (didn`t wait for tips). The receptionist was not only efficient and friendly, but very helpful in booking restaurant reservations also helping with Internet boarding reservations on our returns.
The breakfasts were very good (typical buffet style).
I was very happy with all the waiters from the hotel bar and swiming pool bar.
Just wanna say thank you for all stuff of hotel and promise come back

I was in Beirut on business and this hotel was selected by the client, however i was pleased with their choice.

The hotel is art deco style, with a few scuffs around the edges, but nothing to be concerned about. The staff were polite and efficient, and were on hand when needed. Room was sizeable, clean, pretty well equipped, unfortunately no free WIFi or Tea/Coffee making facilites or waters.
Beds pretty comfortable - but have a plastic sheet on matress, for 'bedwetters' which can make it sweaty.
Nice little balcony.
Breakfast, dining room has no atmosphere and an unusual selection for breakfast - suspect low turnover of food.

Still a very good stay.

Would go back.

The hotel is in an ideal location, rooms are good some of them are spacious, rooms are clean , staff are generally friendly but front office staff are not friendly and get irritated with questions and request for help. Its a good hotel if you are on a budget and need a clean and convienent room. However, other hotels could be better in the neighbouhood.

Room Tip: Choose a sea view room, its worth the extra money.

I don't know what it is about the palm beach that makes me go back again and again. It certainly isn't its Indian restaurant or its very kitsch lobby... I think what it is is that it simply offers a very good quality/price ratio in Beirut. The location on the Beirut Corniche is one of the highlights, being able to walk out of the hotel's door and be on the seafront is very pleasant. Calls for a lot of morning/afternoon walks. The bustling neighborhood of Hamra is a ten minute walk away. In fact most places are a 10-15 minutes walk away. The rooftop pool is another highlight, the Mediterranean and Beirut at your feet when you are ether doing your laps in the pool or sipping wine at night. Rooms are VERY comfortable with HUGE balconies. if i had to find one shortcoming: The gym gear is falling apart.

The hotel is located in the heart of Beirut, just a walking distance to everything. The was spacious with sea-view and very nice toilet.

Room Tip: High floor with sea view

Very pleasant city hotel with good sized guest rooms. My room was a standard room but it was much larger than I had expected and had a big modern bathroom with good quality walk-in shower too. It's luxurious without offering five star glitz and glamour. The common areas are a bit tired, like the stair carpet that looks like it's seen the results of a few too many stag nights. Apart from that though the general standard is very good indeed, and it s a reasonable price too. Great rooftop bar gives a good sea view and had a smattering of the local young and beautiful people in the evening. Seems to be a tourist group hotel since a v noisy group of Americans took over the breakfast room just a I sat down for mine. The buffet selection was a expected though, and their stories of the night before were amusing to overhear, which would have been impossible to ignore! Hardly the hotels fault mind you.

Room Tip: Lower floor views are of grubby shops and a sea wall rather than the sea.

It's best qualities is it's location, in Ain Mrayseh, close proximity to Solidere, Hamra, Bliss, and Gemayze. For a sea front hotel, it offers a reasonably priced stay, the loby is homy, the rooms are well sized, some of them come with a balcony with a partial sea view.
the breakfast room is on the top floor, giving an unobstructed sea view, a great way to start the day. The satf is friendly, the service can be better, but is adequate for our needs.
We would definitely come back, especially with the family.
