Hotel is in the old part of Doha, rooms are reasonable but somewhat shabby. Wifi only in the reception although there is cable internet access in the room, for those that have Ultrabooks you will need a USB to Ethernet adaptor. Bandwidth of the internet is very poor when a lot of people are using it (12 hours to download a UK tv programme) there are no electrical sockets in the bathroom and only four in the room. The tie up with the Best Western to use their facilities no longer applies as I found out. If you are on an extended stay the food in the restaurant becomes very bland and boring although the staff (especially Min) are very helpful. If you want alcohol the easiest way is to go round the corner to the Gokulum park hotel. The area around the hotel is very noisy, chiefly due to the lazy bas****s pulling up outside the Al Zarka restaurant and honking their horns for the runner to serve them, this starts as early as 04.00 and sometimes goes on until 01.00. The same applies to the supermarket a little further along. If you have any distance to travel for business allow plenty of time because the traffic is murder, allow at least 20 minutes to get to the Salwa road. Rooms are also noisy, you can hear the people and the television in the adjacent room. The hotel has a laundry service which is reasonably quick.

The staff are very helpful here. The restaurant is very good and excellent value. There is free wifi in the lobby and also 2 computers that can be used free of charge. No liquor is served in the hotel. The room was okay but the carpet was stained and definitely needed replacing. It is situated about a 20 minute walk to the Souk Waqif

A neat clean good business hotel in vicinity to Doha Airport in the heart of the city. It has all facilities which a 3 star category hotel contains. Breakfast is little monotonous as they keep repeating the same menu for weeks. Though the hotel does not have a swimming pool but they have arrangements with Best Western Hotel to share theit swimming pool which is about 300 meters away.

Room Tip: Its better to avoid the rooms on the lift side.

The hotel is well located. Most of the time when I come to Doha I prefer to stay in this hotel. It's neat, clean & tidy. Staff is friendly but the only sad part about this hotel is room service. They are not very slow but not quick either.

Because of a cancellation of our airline , this was one of the only hotels was available in Doha and now I know why.

There was a small shuttle waiting outside the arrivals hall and we took it to the hotel. At first sight it looked okay. We checked in and they wanted to keep our passports until dinner but that I did not want.

Our room was opened with a heavy key and it was big but old, ugly and worn. The beds were crap and bathroom to old to go in. Isolation was none and the noise was loud from craned in the neighborhood

Dinner there was free for us but bad, very bad. I did not ate the soup, desert and salad. the only thing I ate was chicken and the next day I was sick ...

Worst hotel ever !

Room Tip: None, don't stay here

Staff was friendly when I arrived very early. Room was alreday prepared and cleaned although I was very early. The room was clean but definitely other guests smoked in the room. You can open the window but hotel is located in a noisy area (by the way, in qatar almost everything is noisy). Hotel area has several restaurants and a small supermarket in front of the hotel. They offer breakfest (local and some international) at very early times - I often missed it. The have a small "Business center" which was always occupied - so you better bring your own computer. They offer wireless in the public area (breakfeast room, lobby) but not inside the room. For the price I paid it was very convenient. Always keep in mind that Qatar is not a country to spend your holidays - not yet...if you want to relax you should book a resort near Corniche or "beaches".

The hotel was terrible. They have no dining after breakfast only room service, sandwiches only, do not be decieved by the internet pictures. I had to call the front desk to get my room cleaned on several occassions. The floor was not vacuumed once while I was there. They use keys, vice cards and you have to leave the room key to get the housekeeping staff to clean your room. The bathroom was in terrible shape, holes in wall where the old towel rack used to be. If you have an electric razor there is no plug in the bathroom. There are three plugs in the room total. Most of the staff speak very little English. There is no ATM, they do not carry much money at reception to change for you, they sent us down the street to an outdoor ATM. Would not recommend to anyone. Right outside the hotel is a resturant and supermarket, where the people to lazy to get out of thier vehicles, sit a beep thier horns until someone comes and takes thier request. Starts about 0600 and goes until approx 2100 at night. Thier website states they have a bar, mocktails only, and it is never open. The business centre has two old, I am sure they are commodore 64s the way they run, computers. Asked for a city map and they do not have any. Best Western should be ashamed to have this hotel as part of thier chain. I also found the city very dirty, abandoned cars, garbage everywhere in the industrial part of the city. I would definatley not recommend this country for a vacation until it catches up with the 21st century.
