The staff was helpful & friendly. The hotel location is not within walking distance of any place of note. If it's your first time in Doha, you'll be taking lots of taxis to get anywhere. For people who know Doha's roads pretty well, your landmarks are Airport Rd., the corniche, and Salwa Rd.... you're right on A Ring Rd. and there's a petrol station right in front of the hotel.
The room service menu is pretty good and the portions aren't skimpy. If you're having dinner or lunch in the hotel, I highly recommend the Nasi Goreng. There are no dressers to put your folded clothes in, so you'll probably be putting them on one of the night stands. The Wi-Fi is pretty solid and the connection is steady throughout the hotel. There's a nice pool, gym, & sauna on the top floor. Overall, a decent stay for the money paid. I would stay at this hotel again.
I didn't have a "special friend" with me, but it was nice to know that if I did happen to have a female companion, she would have been allowed to stay with me. This is important for single people who know the usual drama in the GCC countriesMore
