An excellent way to get out of the 44 degree heat. The artefacts are beautiful, the museum itself is a lovely piece of architecture, there's a very welcome cafe, the shop has some great souvenirs and best of all, you don't even have to pay to go round! It's a short walk from Souk Waqif but quite a punishing one if you go during the heat of the day.

“One day it will be The Museum!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2014

I hane nothing to do with astrology but i can tell that this museum will be one of the world best five museums in few years.
It has the will and the money and the vision to get there.
So far its moving in that direction so it might be small and empty most of the year but you be lucky if the nearby halls are busy with some visiting activities, arts, exhibitions from around the world .
If that is not what you look for no problem still huge park will catch your senses.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

Enjoyed the exhibitions, found the staff very friendly, and wished we had longer here.

The location is great too, but in June it was too hot to go outside, though at a more temperate time of year it would be a nice spot to sit outside and admire the view.

“Beautiful building”

The building is very nice and really worth it to go there but the exhibitions inside are usually really boring.

“Good place to escape from the heat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

We were told that this was the largest Islamic museum around the region. That got us interested to visit this museum and indeed there were numerous Islamic arts across 4 levels. The museum also had nice outside area but it was a little too hot to stay out more than 10min. The museum was free of charge.
