stayed as a transit passenger. waited extremely long at the airport before transit and communication really bad to let you know what is happening. the check inn was extremely long when we arrived and the helpdesk does not speak English very well which makes it extremely difficult as a traveller. also the main foyer smells of cigarettes and was highly sensitive to this smell> they offered breakfast and wanted us to supper but we explained them that we will be leaving supper time and requested they give us a wake up call before flight which never happened> the water was cold when you shower and the checkout was extremely slow and stressful as we thought we were going to miss our flight. rooms were clean and tidy.

Stayed alone during a business trip for 4nights in MAP pattern, it was a wonderful and memorable stay. Nice food , caring staff, owner relative (floor manager ) hailed from Kerala India and was very supportive in taking care minute observation. Staff at reception very alert, fast attending and uptodated. I never have to see them for anything.

Rooftop swimming pool and Gym with large glass windows opening to Cornische was amazing. They have weekend fun on top floor night club and bar and sometimes invite some celebrities/band to perform their show. The noise rarely affect to lower floor but noisy at a floor below.

Room are spacious, looks renovated, very cleaned and amenities are always well served, cleaned and refilled the complimentary items intime. I never have to address any thing. Everything madeup intime. Floor staff was very pleasant. A Egyptian young Chef cooked the way I have instructed in the breakfast. At closing of buffet breakfast timing, the generous Staff waited until last customer takes the buffet item. They are so curteous that they approached every customer in the last hour and informed politely that they are closing, should they need anything else. This approach is rarely observed.

Room Tip: Prefer lower floor.

Stayed as transit passenger with Qatar airlines. Well located as it is close to the museum of islamic art and the corniche. But with all the road laying going on closely, walking anywhere was impossible.
There was a long wait at the reception . Took over an hour to get the room. Room was large and clean though it seems hit and miss as some of my fellow travelers had to change it. The key card did not work and had to get the staff to open it every time. Same problem with many other customers. Upper floors are noisy because of the night club. Staff were trying but struggled to keep up. Food was mainly Indian but variety and quality was very good.

The only thing, if any, is the ample space in the rooms. Nothing else. It looks maybe a little bit old and worn out. Actually, some works were ongoing in the lower floor during our stay. It might be between 3 and 4 star category. Enough for a transit night or so. To its favor, it is quite centrally located, there is wi-fi in the room, the bed was excellent and the food quality top level, which is to say a lot for a buffet style restaurant (I am no fan of buffets). BTW: kudos to their baklawas!

The hotel is in a correct location, near the souq and the museum, that's the only thing good about it.
When I checked in, the key room was not working. The reception didn't give me another card, they simply sent me back with a security guard to open my room with his master key. So I had to request security every time I was going back to my room.
The room itself is quite large but empty and ugly (no colors, no decoration, dirty walls). There were no slippers, no bathrobe. The AC was noisy and not working very well, since I was feeling hot even at the lowest temperature setting.
In the morning, I wanted to go to the swimming pool but the access was refused, apparently there was a schedule with a window for men and a window for women. At this point, you wonder why you had to pay 425QAR for the night!!
Going back to bed, I was awaken by a call from the reception asking at what time I would check out, whereas that time had been already agreed at check-in time.
To sum up, this hotel is of no interest and not agreeable, useless if you want to take a rest after a hard week of work. Forget about this establishment!

I just stay here one night for transit, Qatar Airways provided this hotel for me. their service is really really bad. i have to wait more than 1 hour for check in process with very long line. suck!! 2 staff behind desk is not enough to handle us?because they are to slow!. after arrived in the room, i wish to have shower. but guess what?? their shower is broken, and water flooding everywhere. i called reception to change my room, but he said they are fully book. ok then, i ask him to send engineering to come immediately, because i need to take shower before i go to sleep. but after 20mnt, no one come. so i called reception again. and he said engineering will come in few minutes. really2 night mare for me!

Room Tip: don't stay here!

We stayed one night and one day at Horizon Manor, compliments of Qatar Airways – and were enjoyed our staying in this hotel. This Hotel is strategically located in the commercial hub of Doha within easy reach of main business establishments and leisure spots. Hotel near Doha International Airport (5 minute drive) and just minutes away from the Qatar Islamic Museum and the sea shore.

The rooms are large, clean and well-furnished, with free WI-FI internet access and equipped with other amenities (basic toiletries etc.) which makes the staying very much comfortable. All staffs are very polite, helpful and generally well mannered. They provide buffet style breakfast with lots of varieties and plentiful. There is a bar and a dance club.

Can’t really think of a reason not to stay whether for business or pleasure trip there again when in Doha .
