“Skyline view & bay setting outdoors..great food.”
Reviewed 24 March 2013

There is nothing to dislike, the service was outstanding, the view of the city lights was unbelievable as was the bay just a few feet from your table. Was a bit dark to see the menu, but just ask for lights and they'll bring small flashlights.

“Hidden waterfront spot with gorgeous views of Doha sky scrapers”
Reviewed 13 October 2012

We've been in Doha a few years and only recently learned of this place. It is in the Sheraton hotel and down past Latino and past the pool to a little outdoor lounge and restaurant called Pirate's Cove. It is a seasonal hotel and it just reopened a few days ago for the warm and beautiful winter season here in Doha. The menu offers a big variety of food from chicken or veg curry to tandooris of shrimp and chicken to steaks, to combination fish platters and various Japanese delights. We decided to go with the naan bread, the delicious tomato soup with croutons which is served in a mug, followed by tameki with fried shrimp and a California roll. These items are made fresh in the ktichen and you can tell that by the flavors. Serving style is lovely. They offer alcholic beverages so we enjoyed a glass of wine. After so much as starters, the two of us split the fish platter which included hammour (the light fresh fish of the region, flaky and tasty), red snapper (very good but we did find it hard to battle with the bones in the very dim lighting) and prawns. This dish is 110 riyals and is to serve one person but it comes with a big portion of rice and as we had other items, it was more than enough. For us the bill was approximately $85 USD. Service was attentive and excellent. Even though thet only just reopened for the season, it was a popular spot. I can see why the locals know about it but don't want to let everyone else in on the ssecret. We will be back!
