“A few things to consider”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Doha has a large quantity of 5* hotels. Several times I stayed at the Cigale despite being a Leading Hotel of the World (no frequent guest concept). This time I found
WI-FI, yes included but only up to the moment you check out. As you will fly out often late night and need to check out in the afternoon, you have potentially a problem
no wi-fi in the fitness and pool area
POOL. about a month before Ramadan they will close the pool (but maintain the room prices of course :-( . if open, very nice area to relax and ok for lap swimming
BREAKFAST: very nice and complete buffet
ROOMS: clean, standard equipment
FITNESS: standard, attention: if you want to watch TV while working out, the machines only register sports channels ....
EXECUTIVE LOUNGE on the 4th floor: very basic

Room Tip: Make sure if pool is open when you intend to go there. Negotiate late check out already at booking...

Great new and clean hotel but unfortunately not that friendly staff which I found mainly from one arab nationality. Rooms are good. Food is very good. Nice shisha open area. Location is very good. Breakfast had good variety

I have stayed at the Le Cigale a few times- unfortunately only ever for one or two nights at a go. If I ever had the time I would love to stay there for more than just business and really get to use all of the amenities
The hotel is very stylish; the lobby is very modern and there is quite alot of gold and sparkle, and its rich and ostentacious.

The guest rooms are marvellous - they are all scented with aromotherapy oils and so you feel like you have entered into a spa. There is also relaxing music in the room as you walk in, and there is always a plate of fruit and a plate of chocolate to welcome you.

The rooms are very spacious, the bed is large and comfortable and there are two desk areas as well which come thoughtfully equipped with different socket adaptors. The room has blackout curtains

Some features are a little over designed - such as the light controls and the air conditioning . Maybe its just me but on my first visits I was not able to work out how to open the curtains...... My preference is for simplicity over design and I have little patience after a long flight if I have to try out the all the switches to turn the light off for example. On a couple of visits I have not been able to turn off the AC and so was very cold

Bathroom is great. The last room I stayed in had a separate shower from the bath but previous ones had a bath/shower combo. Shower pressure is good

Breakfast buffet is very extensive and has everything from arabic fare to full English.

Staff are very friendly and everything is very customer oriented. Overall always a pleasant stay and good to combine a business trip with a little luxury

The hotel is amazing and everything is great. The only bad thing is the manager and his Lebanese assistant at the piano BAR management . It's been three times we are there and they always treat us with the worst unprofessional way ever. I recommend u change the management because it doesn't comply with everything that the hotel is offering with the best services. We called and asked for the membership and they said it was fine and once we arrived he suddenly changed his opinion . It's an extremely unprofessional bad way from the management, while all the other staff is helpful and sweet.

An impressive lobby, amazing welcome and such a pleasant stay. The rooms are state of the art luxury. Amenities courtesy of Acqua di Parma, chocolate and treats in abundance. Towels and robes of the best quality. Breakfast is a feast in itself, a pleasure to the palate and the eye. All that your heart desires. The pool though indoor but spacious and welcomed. The spa services are also well-balanced and a choice for all. The spa/gym is offers a vast selection of equipment, steam and hammam. I just loved it. The downside is the noise that filters down on weekends! I was on the 3rd floor so it was not too bad. Carpets in bedrooms could be cleaner!
All the personnel that I met were professional, polite and very helpful. See you soon

La Cigale is probably one of the better hotel properties in The State of Qatar. Location, central and serves some of the best cuisine in the country. Remember, 5-Star comes with a cost.

Seven-Club- Only opens at the weekends and gets busy, however the place is controlled by doormen who have attitudes and only allow who they wish to enter. Very strict on couples, yet when you walk into the club, it is full of men (Mandoobs).

Piano Bar - Sunday nights offers ladies night, great night, very difficult to enter, unless booked and have females entering with you. Couples or ladies, or obviously friends of the manger.

Sky-view Bar-Probably the best of bars in the land. Great views, little compact and very much a seated table place that those on each table socialise in groups (not a dating place). Funky chic crowd, decent music, starting the night with low key MTV unplugged, moving into the house scene. Costs are as all bars in the land, expensive. Recommended - Must book at the weekend.
