Smallish 'compound' type hotel with 16 or so small villas each of which typically contains 9 rooms. There is nothing in the immediate vicinity so it's a taxi ride to anywhere you wNt to go, but then taxis are cheap and plentiful.
Staff are very helpful and cheerful if occasionally slightly muddled. Amenities are great: first each building has a plunge pool about 5m long with a decking area, towels etc. Very private but not monitored should you have kids. There's a handful of restaurants; we had passable Lebanese and Asian food. Breakfasts are pretty good; hard to fault breadth of the offer.
There is also a mini oasis right next to the hotel in the shape of its 'club', free to all guests, which has yet another restaurant, pool, grassed lounge area and so on. On our visit to eat dinnef one evening it was thick with shisha smoke so we went back to the asian restaurant. One thing to note is the excellent value compared to other 4 stars; for example truly epic steak sandwich and fries for $9 when a bottle of water at the Hilton was $3.More
