Excellent staff, rooms with iron & ironing board, hair dryer, tea/coffee facilities and free bottled water, breakfast, facilities, and shuttle bus to downtown shopping areas thus saving taxi fares. Private beach with swimming, sunbathing, food and beverages, plus a swimming pool with free iced water in a cool bag and sun-loungers for those brave enough to face the heat of the day. I spent four weeks here on business and made full use of the business centre and free wi-fi in my room, as well as the excellent facilities available as part of the complex in which the Hotel is situated, which included a Souk with a mini mart, restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream parlour, clothing, dates, chocolates, jewellery and souvenir stalls.

Room Tip: The extra space made the upgrade to a deluxe king room worth the small additional charge. A hire ca...

We stayed in Traders for a long weekend, and we absolutely enjoyed it.
I had booked a room category without sea view, but when we checked in, we were offered a free upgrade to a room with sea view and balcony, absolutely lovely.
Talal at the reception was very friendly and helpful, he was joking around with us and he made sure that we received the best service possible.

The room was very comfortable, with nice furniture and very well-appointed decoration. The bathroom was great as well, with both a bathtub and a rain shower, as well as high-quality amenities. Everything was very clean and fresh!

We had dinner in the main restaurant, they had a nice offer with unlimited house wine for AED 125 per person (three courses), and the food was excellent. The only negative point was the salad bar - when we arrived at around 22h, it was almost empty, and it was not refilled anymore. But this is only a minor point - I am sure that they would have provided more salad if we had asked, but it was fine for us.

The beach of the hotel is big and clean, with very cozy chairs and loung areas.
The pool is a little bit small, but it was okay to just refresh yourself.

All in all I can say that Traders is a really fresh, modern and comfortable hotel - I have already booked my next stay...

Room Tip: The rooms with seaview or view on the Grand Mosque are beautiful

this hotel is quite lovely. Decor-wise, it's quite to look at inside - very modern style, most furnishing and fittings in bright colours.

Breakfast was quite all right; best thing was that they did FRESH JUICES - so lacking in many other hotels - they have orange, carrot and whatever else you wanted them to make for you. They go out to please the customer - i asked for a banana and the lovely Indian waiter went to find one for me in the kitchen.

The great thing about this hotel is that the service is quite wonderful - very attentive, prompt, always with a smile. This is SHARPLY CONTRASTING with hotels in the West e.g in EUROPE or AMERICA where getting a service staff to smile probably would cost an arm and a leg. Most off the staff here, of course, are ASIAN. Shame on the hotels in the West; service standards in European and American hotels are a shame.

This was my first visit to Abu Dhabi and I can honestly say that this hotel was excellent. My only complaint was that it was a fair way from downtown Abu Dhabi. It costs around $12 Aus to get there by taxi. The hotel itself was fantastic. The room was very clean and the TV had English speaking channels which was great. The bathroom was excellent and if you didn't want to be interrupted they have a great system of letting he cleaning staff know. The restaurant was excellent and the food was first rate. It has a great outlook, overlooking the water, with their own beach. They have everything that you could wish for and the staff are excellent, with nothing to much trouble. The concierge is only to happy to organise all trips and anything else you want. Well worth a stay.

Room Tip: They are very willing to entertain the idea of early check-in as long as you let them know. I email...

We were unfortunately only able to check in for one night on a layover to sydney, however it was well worth it! 10 mins from the airport we checked in at 7pm and had a checkout time at 8am. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern and funky and part of the shangrila complex. We had time to check in and have a wander round the private beach area which was lively with a bbq and dinner being served.
There is a Souk for some quick last min shopping and we enjoyed a lovely japanese meal in one of their many restaurants before retiring for a good nights sleep.
We woke up at 7 refreshed and ready for the second leg of our long flight, im planning a return visit, and I hope to stay for longer.

From our early check-in assisted by the lovely Anju (Traders Club receptionist) through to our complimentary late check out 7 days later, we were overwhelmed by the attentive, courteous and genuinely friendly service offered by every member of staff. They really couldn't do enough for us and despite the hotel being very busy over our second weekend, they maintained the level of service and smiles consistently.

The landscaped gardens leading through to the Shangri-la and Souk provide ample quiet, shady areas and are immaculate. Pool and gym areas on 1st floor are also spotless, with a high standard of amenities and the excellent service continues provided by the dedicated pool attendants (Lea, Francis + team) with constant cld drinks and chilled towels.

The lobby bar and Anya restaurant areas continue the overall cool, arty and spacious feel of the whole hotel. The quality of the freshly cooked meals we ate in the restaurant (steaks, seafood and Arabic cuisine all tried and thoroughly enjoyed) was exceptionally good value with 3 courses and unlimited house wines included in the total price of 125 Dhs each.
The range of choice available daily in the breakfast buffet was very impressive too although I recommend getting there early on weekends as the expat / locals who fill the hotel on Fri and Sat's tend to dine after 9am and then mob and strip the whole place bare (do these gannets not eat during the rest of the week when they are at home?).
I also suggest avoiding paying extra for a Club room on the weekends (maybe call hotel ahead to check how busy they are first) as the Club lounge was also mobbed on these days and loses it's otherwise calm ambience and was standing room only, with the wonderful Anju and her team struggling to keep the fridges and food stocked up. However this is typical at other 'resort' hotels we've stayed at throughout Middle East and appears to be more indicative of the greedy, ignorant and arrogant behaviour of the Expat communities who 'weekend' at these hotels. ( a note to the management - perhaps it would help if children were excluded from the Club lounge between the 6pm - 8pm cocktail hours)

Overall we would rate this wonderful hotel as of 5* standards based on the overall quality of service, immaculate housekeeping standard of cleanliness and the remarkable attention to detail (staff addressing us by name throughout the hotel, complimentary flowers and cake delivered to our room on my birthday, knowledge and range of helpful information offered by Front Desk staff on U.A.E generally and specifically A.D). Compared to the other 5* hotels we have stayed at throughout the U.A.E over the last 20 years, the Traders Abu Dhabi and adjoining Shangri-la resort is way ahead and we will definitely stay here on future trips to the region.

Room Tip: request ocean facing with balcony on 7th or 9th floor if staying in a Traders Club room. Afya restau...

Superb hotel. Lovely room, nice restaurant, gorgeous breakfast. Very helpful and informative staff. Could not fault it at all. We were even given water in a cool box whilst we were near the pool! Definately one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.
