The hotel is very nice, modern and clean with good service. It has a small beach but do not expect a beach like next to the see. Most of the hotels in Abu Dhabi have a beach on one of the canals. This is a bit negative on the view as what you see is an other hotel or buildings on the other side so you have a feeling like staying on the river.Other than this I've enyojed staying there. Breakfast was nice with wide choices. Price is very reasonable compared to other hotels in Abu Dhabi. The hotel is close to Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which is a must to see.

I spent a couple of days in Traders Hotels in Abu Dhabi, in January and February 2013. On the whole, this hotel is very good.

Valet service is professional, security is good and check-in is fast. Concierge is good.

Rooms are very nice, comfortable, and quiet. The standard room is large enough, with a good range of amenities (soap, shampoon, toothbrush, etc. of quality), nice TV with large choice of channels, good AC easy to handle, a safe large enough for a laptop and other things, good bed and pillows, excellent Internet or Wifi...

The pool area is small but with a very good service. You can swin (20 meter long and 3 meter large swimming pool). Same comment for the gym: small but equipment is of quality.

Breakfast area offers a large choice of good food and beverage. Coffee is good. Tea as well. Still, the hotel doesn't propose butter but a mix of butter and vegetable oil... which is strange is such a hotel. If you'd rather have real butter for breakfast, you can ask the kitchen and they will provide you with.

The only restaurant available offers good food. Still you have sometimes to be patient... 30 minutes for a burger is common. I don't like the advertisement for buffets you receive on your room's voice message box... This is annoying! Part of the restaurant area is cold, even sometimes freezing.

The beach is a nice area. And you can swin there.

Otherwise, I really didn't appreciate the package/rate policy during the Idex exhibition. This is too much taking advantage of the busy situation of the city.

Room Tip: Avoid renting a car with AVIS as they are far away from International airport terminals 1 & 3. N...

We had a really nice overnight stay here. Rooms were very comfortable. The en suite bathrooms are huge and included all toiletries including toothbrushes!
The staff were very helpful both in the restaurants and the club lounge. The pool area is small but you are very well looked after, the lifeguard even hands out botteld water in cool boxes along with your towels.
We will definately be back to Traders in the near future.

The hotel itself is part of the Shangri La chain and separated from the Shangri La by a shopping centre which is clearly struggling. I have stayed in this hotel a few times and the bars/ restaurants I have used before in the centre have now closed. There are still a few available but they are also finding life a bit tough.

The rooms in the hotel are great, but the hotel has clearly reduced its staffing numbers so expect to wait at reception. The bar in the hotel is behind reception and not welcoming at all. the restaurant in the hotel is actually rather disappointing and at best two star. I would recommend eating elsewhere.

So the rooms are great, the beach by the hotel is also great, but otherwise there are better places in better locations now that the shopping centre is slowly closing.

I stayed at this hotel for nearly a month. The people working there are the real bright spot of Traders. Everyone I encountered was very professional, friendly, and helpful. I have traveled to many hotels for business in the US as well as Internationally. Even though Traders is rated 4 stars, the people make a 5 star experience.

Stayed for 2 nights on our way back from the Far East, in a Traders Club room. Previous experiences in Abu Dhabi were at Yas Viceroy & Qsar al Sarab in the Liwa Desert. Although we have previously stayed in Shangri-la hotels, this was our first stay in a Traders hotel & we very very pleasantly surprised. I would say that the standards here, I.e. cleanliness, service, decor, room quality, beds, bathrooms, would certainly surpass that of many 5* hotels. But the unique selling point of this hotel is intangible, it is the reason that people return again & again to a hotel rather than trying others, and it is the way it makes you feel. The decor & layout of all areas of the hotel are stylish & spacious yet welcoming & comfortable. The staff - they are efficient & professional but not pompous or detached, friendly & welcoming but not over familiar, the balance is there. In fact we enjoyed the whole experience so much that we have already booked to return, to, this time for a stopover, but as a dedicated trip.
The only "room for improvement" tip I can think of is: to construct some restrooms near the beach area or at least separate from the main reception.

Room Tip: Club room with canal view. Large room, huge bathroom with large walkin shower and separate bath.

This hotel is a delight to stay in. Everything is clean, neat, new and modern. The Traders Club rooms are enormous including a very large bathroom with separate bath and shower cubicles. The bed is enormous - a super king which was amazingly comfortable. Complimentary bottles of water are left for the room and are also provided in a thoughtful cool box when using the beach or pool. As it is currently the winter season, the hotel is pretty much for business guests only which made the location even more relaxing than normal.

Having use of the Traders Club lounge provides a fantastic, faultless breakfast and really lovely canapés and drinks in the evening. The staff in the lounge are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They also made arrangements for us to use the complimentary bus service into the centre of Abu Dhabi and for a visit to the Grand Mosque.

We rarely take beach holidays due to work commitments so it has been fantastic to finally take a true vacation after nine years. We are so pleased with the hotel as it was important to us to have a slow, relaxing holiday to unwind and recharge. Some reviews say it's a shame that the location is distant from the main centre, but to be honest, a cheap taxi ride or a free bus (which takes about 45 minutes) and you are in the town. Unless you intend to do some serious shopping, to be fair the centre of Abu Dhabi doesn't lend itself to any actual sight-seeing.

If you are simply looking for sun, sea, good food and relaxation then this would be the ideal hotel stay. The only irritation is that the bay does have a number of sea-do users - jet skis and the like. This can be quite tiresome as they seem to go round in packs and just whizz up and down. Not sure if the hotels along the strip could get them to move on or disappear altogether - or perhaps even slow down as some of them appear to go at least 40 miles an hour. There is a boomed off area in front of the beach to swim, but the noise can be somewhat tiresome and can last for a couple of hours.

Room Tip: If you get a chance, visit the Grand Mosque in the afternoon. Remember to check dress code e.g. long...
