Extremely disappointing. Waste of time and money.
Queues are awful. The wait for formula rossa was more than 2 hours. Gforce was closed.
We stayed from 1PM to 7PM, we managed 2 decent rides.
Don't go there, unless you like to torture yourself.

I went with my aunt, uncle and little cousin. We wanted to know a little bit about the attractions, but the info on the brochure wasn't very specific, specially about the ones for small kids, so before buying the tickets the girl at the cashier asked us how old he was, he's 3 years old so he had to have a kid ticket, which is a bit cheaper, but once inside before each ride they would measure him and since he's not 1 m tall he could only go on the carrousel and Bell'Italia. I think it's absolutely unfair to charge parents for a kid based on age when the access to rides is based on height. There wasn't a single sign on the entrance that explained this, where kids could be measured or where you could learn a bit more about the rides.
Formula Rossa and G force were closed. They did tell us that before purchasing the tickets but they wouldn't tell us when these rides would be working again.
Most of the staff speaks terrible english.
The place is huge, half empty and bad lit. Some interactive displays were broken, had no buttons or didn't work, others were just plain boring.
We couldn't even go on the simulators because they were booked, you can't book online by the way.
The fact that they made us buy a ticket for my cousin and he couldn't go on rides was very disappointing for him. We were so upset by this we didn't even stay for dinner. If I want to go to a food court and shopping for ugly merchandise and I can do that at the mall for free.

So much queuing!!! 1 hour queue on the way in, 2 hour queue for the world’s fastest rollercoaster - which then broke so a further 20 mins, 30 mins for the smaller rollercoaster, even had to queue to get a slice of pizza, were then told a further 2 hour wait for the flume - so went home. G-force wasn’t even working. Where there around 5 hours and only managed two rides - not great value for money!!

This theme park is so large, has had so much money spent on it and is connected to none other than "Ferrari"... so we had very high hopes... but were sadly disappointed:

1. Long, inefficient lines everywhere
- to get in, we queued for more than an hour to get tickets (Dec 2010) and when we got in, the park was pretty much empty (although it filled up later in the day). Couldn't they have more ticket sellers? The lines were chaos and people were pushing in.
- to get on rides, there was no system and waits were about an hour. At some of the kids rides, some kids were pushing to the front with the attendants watching them and doing nothing about it (parents were telling them to do it... really rude). At the dual rollercoaster ride, there were no signs so people were all queuing up for one track... it meant an hour long wait on the yellow track and empty cars on the red track... attendants couldn't have cared less or were so poorly trained that they didn't even encourage people to even out.

2. Rides are mediocre and a waste of time
- I could walk faster than many of the rides (and I thought Ferraris were supposed to be FAST!!). I saw people on their iphones and blackberries the rides were that boring.
- There aren't enough rides to make the place interesting - either really slow kids rides or simulators that you have to pre-book about 6 hours in advance and then wait around for.
- The twin track rollercoaster was ok but no loops or high climbs so about right for my 8 year old who liked it... not exciting for adults.

3. Zero atmosphere
- No entertainers whilst you are waiting for an hour in every queue, no great F1 videos, just blank walls... boring, boring, boring. About as exciting as an office block.

4. Best rides are closed or having mechanical problems - the G-Force and the 250km/h rollercoaster were both shut and having problems.

5. Restaurants can't cope with even reasonable demand - long queues (again!) and running out of food by dinner. Food was ok and price was similar to other places in Abu Dhabi.

Pity as it is a great brand, a great building (a little like an airport) and they have spent a lot of money on this (and charging a lot of money!!).

Really, don't bother.

Ferrari World was a lot of fun ... the fastest rollercoaster on earth, and lots of knowledge about ferraris. The simulator ride is crap, so avoid it, especially the urge to pay the extra 75 AED to sit in a 2min simulator of an actual ferrari car. Priority queue is recommended, but is steeply priced. Also make sure all rides are open on the day you go. Place gets crowded quickly.
