“Service left a lot to be desired.”
Reviewed 22 December 2013

One of the most sort after hotels to stay in but the service was not up to the Jumierah mark. Overall experience was abysmal and lowest point of the stay was a live insect floating in my juice. When asked to take the juice away without question them, the staff started giving defensive justifications which did not make sense and dint justify the lack of hygiene. There was miscommunication within the Front Office department. The best part of the hotel stay was the TORI NO SU, the Japanese restaurant. Excellent food and excellent service.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Please do accept our apologies for the inconveniences that occurred during your stay. The investigation has indeed shown that there has been a miscommunication with the Front Office upon where you could enjoy your breakfast. We apologise for the natural accident with your juice which was of course exchanged right away. We work to very strict hygiene standards which are checked not just internally on a daily basis, but also externally by inspectors of the local authorities on a regular basis. We are very happy that you have enjoyed your experience at Tori No Su and we hope to be welcoming you back again.
Kind regards,
Guest Relations Team

First of all the hotel is a wonderful hotel in comparison with international hotel
You will see what you didn't see in all hotels. Hotel of high level of luxury

I booked the hotel through there website and they have provide me with all required items . The bathroom is very beautiful as it is in the corner and you can see the beautiful views.

Also they have give us a great cake with date sparkling. In addition to that they provide us with set of chocolate

The room is very clean and they provide you with a remote control for all room facility which you feel that you don't need to to stand from your bed

The swimming pool is very nice and they have separate kids pool

Travelling through Abu Dhabi on business I decided to stopover for the weekend to explore the city. I am very pleased I did. As a woman travelling solo I really felt well looked after and safe. The hotel facilities were immaculate and the staff super attentive and helpful. I am looking forward to my next stopover in Abu Dhabi and will certainly be staying here again.

Myself and my mum stayed at this hotel in October 2013 for a 3 day break. When we arrived at the hotel we where greeted by the friendly door staff and directed to reception. The lobby was amazing and as it was eid we where offered dates and local drinks. When checking in the man behind the desk n formed us that our twin room had been upgraded to a twin deluxe club room and that we would have access to the executive club lounge.

We where then escorted to our room by a lovely young lady, whilst in the lift she pointed out the executive club floor and informed us of the timings in the club. We where shown around our room and given all the information we needed. As it was one of the guests birthdays there was a cake, bottle of wine, chocolates and rose petals on the bed which was fab. The twin room itself was amazing and we where very impressed with the facilities.

We had a quick change and headed up the the club lounge for a drink where we had no problems entering. We then spent the rest of the day at the pool and beach which is so amazing and the pool staff and waiters where very friendly and helpful. After the pool we decided to change and head to the club lounge for a drink.

However when we arrived at the club lounge we where told we did not have access and where made to wait outside until they checked. This was both inconvenient and embarrassing, I found the staff in the lounge extremely rude and unprofessional. As a five star establishment I would of expected them to at least let us enter for a soft drink or water while they checked the details but no not here. When we booked our stay we had no interest in the club lounge and where only using this facility as we had been told by 2 different staff members that we had access.

After this extremely embarrassing situation and being refused entry by the extremely rude staff at the lounge we decided to return to our room. When in our room (which was the first room along from the 6 lifts) we began to notice continuous loud noise coming from the movement of the lifts, at first we thought it would be ok but we soon found the noise was pretty much non stop, and would be practically impossible to sleep through the noise.

I decided it ring reception and ask to speak with a manager to discuss the issues we had been having. I spoke with a manager who wanted me to come down to meet him however I insisted that he came to our room to speak with us. His suggestion to the lift noise was to move to another twin room which turned out was also next to the lifts therefore encountering the same noise level. He told us that all the twin rooms where next to the lift as only children stay in these which I find highly unlikely!

After a long and heated discussion with the manager he finally offered us a king deluxe room away from the lifts, he escorted us to the room and made sure everything was ok which it was. After these two problems where solved we thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our stay here. We also really enjoyed visiting rays bar and we had breakfast one day but it wasn't very nice and i would not say it was worth the price.

Overall I would recommend this hotel as it is lovely and apart from the incident in the club lounge I was happy with the way the manager resolved our room problem. However I would advise anybody looking for a good nights keep to avoid booking a twin room.

Room Tip: Avoid twin rooms if you would like a good nights sleep.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Please do accept our apologies as we are truly saddened to hear about the inconveniences you went through during your stay. We have led an in-depth investigation upon your complaints and there has been indeed a miscommunication within our team and this surely does not reflect the service standards that we intend to provide. Nevertheless, we hope that your stay was enjoyable. Additionally, we really appreciate that you still gave us a 4 star rating and that you will recommend Jumeirah at Etihad Towers. Outstanding. We stayed here for 3 nights enroute to Australia to break the trip. We could not fault the hotel or experience in any way. All the staff were excellent. The breakfast was a treat in itself. The only thing that should be mentioned would be the construction work going on close by. In our time there was not a lot of noise. We will return

Room Tip: Higher the better.

My wife and I stayed at the Etihad Towers for our 2nd wedding aniversary in a grand delux. Pretty much everything was perfect, the welcome was exceptional, the room and facilities were excellent and the overall hotel facilities, restaurants, attached avenue mall, pool, beach etc were very good. There were a couple of minor issues that we didn't bother to report such as a lack of hot water in the room, which was too late to report and the room could have been a little bit cleaner. This was made up for with exceptional and personal service and the little touches such as someone cleaning my sunglasses and leaving the cleaning cloth and the restaurant delivering our unfinished bottle of wine to the room. We also dined at the Brasserie Angelique as well as had a couples massage at the Talise Spa. We had a lovely stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Sounds a bit crazy, but I would choose a city view rather than beach view, there's far more to s...

Stayed for 4 nights last month.
Good value had a deluxe room £185 a night with brilliant breakfast.
This is a business based stay really but we didnt mind.
It does have lovely facilities and unbelievable resturants.
Scotts, Quest, Li Beriut all in house.
Rays Bar also a decent venue, you tend to forget the smoking ban isnt enforced in the UAE until you go to the bars.
Thats really hard to beat in one hotel, I compare it to the Grosvenor in Dubai,
that has the Buddha Bar, Gary Rhodes and Indigo.
Nice gym, lovely infinity pool area, top service and Harmony on Concierge very helpful.
Its just what you think a top hotel is in Abu Dhabi, really quite amazing to look at and really welcoming staff.
Loved it.
