“Perfect room with perfect view”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 March 2014

We were so lucky to have booked this hotel. We loved the room. The designers of the room have paid careful attention to the layout and features of the room and what we noticed was the complete absence of the annoyances found in rooms of other five-star hotels.

Often we feel the designers of a hotel room don’t stay too much in hotels. In this case the designers must be commended on their attention to detail. For example: There is a box holding the hairdryer which has a mirror inside the lid, which can be easily transported to wherever one chooses to sit and dry hair. The layout of wardrobe and shelving space is perfect for a hotel stay. Everything in the room can be controlled electronically. Toiletries are superb and of top quality. Ample towels. Comprehensive range of television stations. Big shower. High quality teabags. A nespresso coffee maker! Large desk area, luggage area, chaise lounge and much more. (Only other hotel we have had this experience in is Encore in Las Vegas)

Not to mention the fantastic view with lots of incoming light. Gym well equipped with very good equipment for all the floppy bits. Staff was very attentive offering cold and wet towels, headphones, water.

A room can be judged by what you would like to be naughty and take home, and this has it all. Looks like we may have to move in permanently.

Only downside is prices of the room service menu and breakfast which at AED 160+ would have to be the most expensive we have encountered. Although we like a good breakfast, it seemed over the top for us so we opted for a fab café called Fauchon on Level P2 in the hotel shopping area, which has a wonderful choice of breakfasts for approx. AED50 +/- which we gobbled every morning.

In short great value for money hotel. Highly recommended.

Jumeirah at Etihad tower is the perfect combination of a well balanced luxury architecture, impeccable service, perfect location and a restaurant for almost every palate.
Let's start from the hall, big enough for a soccer field with two areas for resting, doing business or enjoy tea or drinks. We chose a club room so we checked in in the lounge at 45 floor. All the procedure was fast and smooth we had the key and went up to the 57 floor. Our de luxe room was quite big perfectly shaded with a king size bed comfortable and a great bathroom. In the lounge over the 5 days of our stay we met several employers highly trained to anticipate any needs. Miluska and Omar over all. For our anniversary I chose Quest on the 63 floor, an oriental fusion restaurant. But you can go for Italian Bice, French Brasserie Angelique, Scotts for fish, Rosewater for the buffet and many more. The observatory deck at 300 in tower 2 is the highest place in Abu Dhabi and is just next door. Gym is excellent, pool is nice and only the beach is below my expectation but the service is perfect as usual. I miss the spa so you can discover it by yourselves. So if you can stretch your budget a little more at the Jumeirah you get much more.

Stayed for a week in a club executive double room. From the second you get dropped off you know you are in a luxury hotel.

Arrived at 9 am and within an hour our room was ready. During which time we were able to have some breakfast in the club lounge. Staff very helpful and could not do enough while we waited for our room.

The room was spectacular on the 53rd floor. We had wonderful views out over the Arabian Sea. The rooms are high tech but very easy to use. The bed is the best I have ever slept in. Everything in the room is luxuriant including the toiletries.

It was our anniversary while we where there and we had rose petals on the bed, a bottle of wine and a wonderful cake and box of handmade chocolates.

The staff in the club lounge are brilliant. Special thanks to Omar, Yi, Noor and Dian. After being there for just one day they know what we drank at breakfast time and during the evening Omar would arrive with our drinks without even asking what we wanted. This level of service is exceptional. The food on offer on the club lounge is of a very high standard and plentiful. You will never be stuck for something to eat.

The beach area, although small, is adequate and again staff when you arrive escort you to your sun bed, arrange your towels, check if you need anything. During the day you will receive cold towels to keep you cool, fresh fruit and lollies.

We ate at Li Beirut and again the food was of a very high standard and very tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very good.

Went up Rays. Bar on the 62nd floor for a cocktail, again very trendy, high level of service and wonderful cocktails. There is a massive range of drinks on offer.

We have stayed in some very high end 5 star hotels around the world but have to say that this hotel is the best we have ever stayed in and would recommend it to everyone!

Room Tip: Stay in club room on a high floor.

We visited the hotel as our first family holiday. On arrival we were greeted by cold towels and a cold drink. As we arrived early morning, we were lucky that our room was ready.

Rooms are very spacious even with a travel cot, views were amazing. The rooms was fully equipped with an nespresso machine, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, ironing board, iron and hair dryer.

The nespresso capsules were replenished everyday and we were also provided with complimentary water bottles and fresh fruit daily which was a lovely touch.

There is a shopping mall under the hotel, with all designer shops and a waitrose, which is handy if you've forgotten to pack anything.

The location was great, Emirates palace walking distance and the marina mall was a 15min walk.

We visited the observation deck which is free for hotel guests where we enjoyed a cup of tea whilst taking in the views.

We dined half board, which meant we could have breakfast and Lunch OR Dinner. We could choose from rose water (buffet), Nahaam, liberuit and bice. Drinks were not included and you even had to pay for water which was strange as they provided you with the same complementary water in your rooms.
Alcohol is expensive

We would always have breakfast at rose water, which was extensive and very filling.

Rose water - very extensive selection, chefs certainly work hard. It did get a little monotonous at times, for example the grill selection were the same meats every night.
I think themed nights would be a good idea to mix up the menu
Nevertheless, food was excellent.

Nahaam - was exquisite and of michelin star quality. Ambience and food was amazing, the lobster was divine.

Liberuit - lovely setting and very romantic. It's a modern twist to Lebanese we dined there for my husbands birthday and they provided a cake which was lovely. The mixed grills were delicious as we're the fresh breads.

Bice - probably the least favourite as the food was very average and bland, having said that the deserts were probably better.

Would like to send a special thanks for Muhammad and his team for being so accommodation at rose water for preparing our sons food daily.

Looking forward to our visit again next year.

The Jumeirah at Etihad Towers combines stunning architecture, great views over the Corniche (somewhat obstructed by a recent addition to Abu Dhabi's skyline that is reminiscent of the Shanghai World Financial center in that it also looks like a bottle opener) and highly professional, attentive and friendly service. Help (mostly with a smile) is always only one confused or lost look away. Check-in is fast, accompanied by cool towels and a welcome drink, before you are being escorted to your room by a hostess.
The rooms are modern, very comfortable (we had a King Deluxe) and spacious. The bathroom is adequately sized (especially the shower is big) and generally functional but not special. There is this thing again with the many high-tech light switches that I commented on in a review about another resort...but at least here they are labeled. As a small suggestion, an international power socket that accommodates different plugs would be welcome and is standard in similar hotels, and - as my wife noted - having any kind of free power socket close to one of the few mirrors would greatly facilitate hair drying and styling. I take her word for it.
The pool is lovely and beats the so-called beach - clean as it may be - for hanging out or having a lazy afternoon drink at the pool bar. It doesn't get much sun in the later afternoon which is probably a good thing in summer but leaves it a bit chilly in Feb, so try to get your sunbathing in during the morning.
The breakfast is out of this world, offering huge variety, different cooking stations and pretty much anything you could ask for. The Lebanese restaurant is also quite excellent and has super attentive staff that makes you feel just so much more welcome while enjoying the superb food.
Lastly, the Talise spa was also a nice experience, and as luxury hotel Spas go this one is right up there with all the other ones, but not special. Perhaps being located above and across from the main hotel entrance and car driveway didn't get me in the right Spa mindset.
The location of the hotel at one end of the Corniche and across from the Emirates Palace worked well for us, as it is only a 10 min walk from the Marina Mall and allows for some great late afternoon jogging along the Corniche. Apart from that there are no other sights or points of interest within walking distance and you should be aware that there is quite a bit of construction going on all round the hotel (well, the city, really), which did not however interfere with the great vacation experience Jumeirah afforded us.

Room Tip: The King Delux offers a bit more space and a chaise longue and a larger bed.

A top hotel experience at every level: sophisticated contemporary design; comfortable rooms and stunning public areas; best restaurants in town; top customer service and great location. The only complain is the dirtiness of its glass windowpanes. The building is enveloped in glass and it seems that most of the time it is covered in sand and dust. A veritable pity

Thank you very much for your compliments and your excellent rating! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and our restaurants as well. Kindly be advised that our windows are being cleaned according to a regular schedule. Unfortunately due to the highly windy weather the cleaning schedule had to be temporarily interrupted. The wife and I enjoyed a Grand Club room for Valentine's including a Tranquility Ritual at Talise spa and dinner at Quest, the gourmet restaurant on the 63rd floor (top). After a tough time to find the front entrance, the service was excellent to get us checked in and to our spa appointment on time. The spa experience was one of the best we've had in the UAE.(and we have tried quite a few) including the heated massage. Our room was on the 58th floor with a beautiful view of the corniche. However, the room wide sofa in front of the floor to ceiling windows hindered the view and was uncomfortable. The room is quite spacious with all the electronic controls and amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel from Jumeirah. Dinner at Quest was over-the -top with a special menu for Valentine's including Beef Cheek for the main entree. The view and service was excellent as was the food, but not quite worth the price. The room was quiet and peaceful. We woke up looking out over a morning fog over the corniche. It was mystical and magical. The lobby is extraordinary and the marble elevators are a colorful experience. All in all, a wonderful experience at my favorite hotel 'chain', Jumeirah.
