we had a nice stay. Location is good you feel in a real vacation resort but you are so close to Abu dhabi. Staff is nice and friendly but the reception was a disaster. Probably they were under staffed it took 2 hours to have the room. Also in UAE 5 stars Hotel generally pays more attentiom to guests. Only issue anyway seemed to be lack of staff in a very crowded period. Recommended.

Excellent service during our stay at the St. Regis. Comfortable, very clean and well appointed rooms with great balconies overlooking the beach. Very good restaurant experience and cafe locations. The breakfast buffet and the dinner Buffet was amazingly good with a very wide selection of food that offer local food choices as well as more familiar staples.

I have worked in the hotel industry for many years now and I have rarely seen a staff so honestly dedicated to good service and hospitality. Everyone was very friendly, always offering great suggestions and going beyond to make guests happy.

My son enjoyed especially the Children’s Club and he is asking me to return again next year because of it

We really want to thank everybody there for our wonderful vacation

Dear Michalis,

I am glad that we delivered to you an experience beyond expectation. Thank you for recognizing our staff, our biggest asset that sets us apart and for the appreciation of our food and beverage venues. I will be pleased to share your feedback with the team at Sandcastle Club, a simply enchanting venue, I believe, for our little aficionados.

We look forward to welcoming your family and you for another memorable stay.

The St Regis serves as both a luxurious residence for discerning hotel guests and a backdrop to Hawksbill turtles’ nesting grounds. The hotel is fabulously designed inside out: beautifully tiled roofs atop of roman style columns welcome you in a part of Abu Dhabi set to become iconic in the near future when multiple world class museums see the light. The Italian theme continues on the inside where shiny pastel colored marbled hallways lead you to one of the coziest piano bars I’ve seen in any beach resort I’ve been to: the Manhattan lounge. Touches of “New York grandeur” adorn the dark teak wood flooring and terracotta leather chairs. The property is “airy”: room ceilings are perforated and carry rose wooden wind fans, bathrooms have been designed to occupy most of the room’s width and feature standalone bathtubs even in their most basic configurations. That lightness carries over in Olea, the main all dining restaurant: a sort of escape to the Mediterranean with freshly prepared food simmering away in several cooking stations under a majestically lit wavy glass mosaic. Walking further, your feet soak into that deep sand, your senses telling you that this was all just a mirage…

Room Tip: Sea view rooms should be the starting point. Indulge in a suite if you can

I stumbled across this hotel early in 2012 when playing golf on the Saadiyat Beach Golf Course (which is brilliant by the way). We booked to stay 4 days after Christmas and it was fabulous. All staff are great, attentive and courteous. Room was excellent - great size, loads of storage space and with the biggest hotel bathroom I can recall.

We ate at a couple of the restaurants - particularly loved the Asian fusion restaurant and the International buffet.

The fitness suite is large, well equipped and well used. Spa was fabulous. Pools were good temperature.

I highly rate this hotel. In fact we liked it so much we have booked to go back in 6 weeks and are staying in a suite this time. Should be good!

Room Tip: Well worth having an Ocean view room

Dear Nick,

I am very pleased to read your kind feedback. Our bathrooms certainly make an impression with all our guests. Not only are they spacious and feature a double vanity, but the design takes inspiration from the overall Mediterranean-inspired theme of the resort ensuring your time even in-room is relaxed and special. I will also pass on your kind remark regarding Sontaya – Our Southeast Asian restaurant.
We are looking forward to welcoming you back in 6 weeks and would also recommend you try the Iridium Spa to enrich your leisure experience.

Just back from a trip to Abu Dhabi with my extended family. There were a number of us ranging from 13 - 55 in age. The hotel is very nice, as we had anticipated it was luxurious. The rooms are very nice and have lovely big bathrooms with large tubs, double sinks and rain forrest showers. All the provided toiletries are really nice. The beds were comfortable with ample pillows provided.
We atre in the hotels Turquoiz restaurant, the Olea buffet and had food around the pool and also the drawing room area for afternoon tea. The buffet can be noisy, there is a wide selection but timing is everything as to how fresh the food you get is and when it was put out.
Breakfast is very nice with a huge array of items to choose from and chefs making pancakes and eggs to order at the buffet counter. Lovely pool areas and beach, the adult only pool gets quite shaded early...this could be because we were there in winter and in summer may get more light.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The down points! These were not deal breakers for us but are an explanation of to why I am saying a 4 and not a 5 in score, I would not let them especially put you off though.
As with many hotels around the world there were a significant number of 'sun lounger hoggers' around the pool areas who would rise at the crack of dawn and dash down to the pool to leave a token book, paper, magazine etc...then disappear for about 5 hours before returning and in the mean time numerous unlucky people had been on the hunt for an unreserved chair to no avail. There should be a policy within the hotel that if loungers are left unused for a certain period of time belongings are removed and the chair is vacated for another user.
We felt that some sort of games room and evening activities for the 10 - 16 year olds would be good as there was nothing for them to do. A room with playstation, pool tables etc...and an area showing movies with popcorn or something like that would be good. Likewise some sort of co-ordinator to manage activities for this age group during the day to arrange football, volleyball etc...and get them all mixing with each other and making friends to add to their holiday experience. There was a note on a board by the beach saying that volleyball would take place 2-4pm but we never saw anyone actually doing it or anyone organising people to do it.
Dining and eating in the hotel is expensive, you are quite a captive audience and even the cheapest of dining options around the pool is pretty expensive.
The mattress we got as a 3rd bed for one of the rooms for the youngest of our group was absolutely rock solid and the room did not really work well as a triple as space was tight because of layout. We were in a standard king room so not sure if bigger rooms would work better but this is something to bear in mind if bringing kids.

We choose the St Regis Abu Dhabi for our first christmas family holiday with our 9 month old son, we were very impressed. The staff are incredibly friendly, we had a ground floor room and a baby cot as requested with no problems at all.

This is a perfect family hotel with a great childrens club (Sandcastle club) which was very well organised and everyone was very attentive.

We would have to say that the service in the Olea restaurant which is where the main buffet is located was exceptional. Our son has various food allergies and can only eat a small amount of things, however nothing was too much trouble, with the chefs preparing foods especially for Charlie everyday. The table staff were also fantastic with Winni, Sally, Alla & Aaron being extremely polite and helpful all week.

Thank you very much to the St Regis Abu Dhabi, we had a great holiday, we were very impressed by the service and the facilities and we will be returning next christmas.

You do however have to get down to the poolside early to get a nice spot, as the problem of
'early morning towels on loungers' seems to have arrived in the middle east which we havent experienced before in this part of the world, maybe the '1 hour rule' would help St Regis ?

Luxurary hotel location. Large rooms with super equipped bathrooms. Great views from balconies onto the ocean. Saadiyat golf course passes infront of hotel. Excellent restaurants, i.e. 55th & 5th, an elegant steakhouse on absolute top level. Also buffet restaurant can be recommended.
Most important however is the friendlyness of the staff. A great hotel that can be highly recommended. We shall certainly come back to the St. Regis.

Room Tip: Higher floors recommended.
