“Best beach area of Abu Dhabi. Excellent hotel,”
Reviewed 31 March 2014 via mobile

Have stayed in many Abu Dhabi hotels. Good service, rooms, bars and restaurants. Nice location 15 min taxi ride to city. 15 mins to Yas. Taxis cheap. Service round adult pool excellent. (Moses).Shame no service in beach though. Thought drinks were a tad expensive but in line with other 5 star hotels . Butler service a godsend especially free tea and coffee in room. (mark). Would def stay there next time. Ideal to have Shakespeare's and Spinneys just there. Gym excellent.

We stayed at the St Regis just before Christmas and found it lived up to the St a Regis standards we have come to expect from most of the chain!
Upon arrival we were greeted by Damir and his team who were both welcoming and informative. The room was amazing with beach and sea views and was large and well appointed.
Breakfast was an amazing buffet selection and the service impeccable.
Whilst there were a few small stones as you entered the sea from the beach they did not spoil your overall enjoyment of the clear waters especially when the dolphins turned up.
The spa and gym were well equipped and the staff great.
Overall a really great well run and 5 star hotel.
Will be back very soon.

We have just returned from a 1 week holiday with our 18 month old daughter and had a great time. We were given a sea view room on the 8th floor which had great views of the beach and golf course. The room was large and all the staff were very welcoming. The sandcastle kids club had a great pool and play area and again the staff were very attentive. The beach was beautiful with soft white sand and clear sea. We always managed to find a sun bed by the pool or beach although the hotel did get quite busy by Friday. We enjoyed dinning at sontaya and turquoise restaurants and we also tried the new Indian restaurant outside the hotel called avasa which served great authentic Indian food. The buffet at Olea was also of a high standard although we would have got bored if we had to dine there everyday. All in all, the hotel is a great family hotel if you are travelling with young children.

Room Tip: Get a sea view room on a high floor.

Spend 1 night at this property. The rooms are really spacious and nicely designed. The beach front is beautiful. The hotel is big and busy though. We had dinner at Koi. It was good food but unfortunately no atmosphere. They also cater well to families and young kids. They have a great kids club, and a separate kids pool. I would recommend this for anyone who lives in the UAE and is looking for a quick getaway.

My husband booked this hotel for my birthday in March as a surprise, and what a surprise. On arrival I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of the hotel. As we walked into the hotel it took my breath away everything was magnificent, the clean lines were really outstanding. The greeting from the concierge was warm and welcoming. After we checked in and were taken to our room I could not believe how spacious the room was, and as for the bathroom one word OUTSTANDING I have never seen such a unique layout with separate glass shower and an oval bath at the other end of the bathroom, really beautiful.
In the evening we went to the seafood restaurant on the beach the setting was absolutely beautiful and very romantic. To top the lot, the food was mouth watering. I had the scallops and can highly recommend them. The meal was scrumptious and very reasonable. We went to the hotel bar after the meal for a nightcap and the service was fabulous. I absolutely love this hotel and cannot wait for our next visit in the near future. The only downside I can think about this hotel was LEAVING IT.

Room Tip: Although our room did not have a sea view the view of the grounds to the rear of the complex was ext...

Whereas the hotel facility per se is definitely 5star standard and the location at the wonderful natural beach is top, there is a lot to be said about its management policy.
- we were repeat visitors and therefore expected to get the room category, which we actually booked and paid for.Which was twin bed full ocean front..What we got ,was a room in a side wing with limited ocean view..It took two days to correct the situation.
From our earlier visit we knew, that there is buttler service. This time during our stay,we never met the buttler supposedly assigned to our room,
-from our previous visit we remembered the complimentary drinking water service at the beach.
Not so this time, you had to pay for a bottle of water.Five Star serice????
-late check out (requested 14.30 h) declined!!!! even though we ourselves had to wait until 19 h to finally chang rooms after two days.
-the management is obviously quoting very aggressive prices to tour operators in some countries.
we happened to be at the hotel during Russian spring break.Breakfast restaurant and beach extremely crowded by families with young children.
-No quiet area provided at the beach.Five star service?
-One of the most attractive restaurants (Sontaya) recently closed for lunch except Fri. and Sat.

We booked a deal for the UAE residents I found online and were blown away. The drive into the hotel is a great start to the overall look of this gorgeous resort. Super quick check in from Blanca, we were there early for the Champagne Brunch so as expected our room wasn't ready. She took our phone number and called in about an hour to let us know the room was ours.

Ok, the room was fab! We requested a wheelchair accessible room and were so pleased with the layout. Two large washrooms on either side of the bedroom allowed us to both enjoy without tripping over each other. Our wheelchair could easily move everywhere even on the ground floor patia, with table and chairs. The large bathroom for my husband could have easily fit 10 people in the open shower and toilet area...he did keep it to himself though. The bathtub in "my" bathroom was so huge you would like like a child soaking in it.

The Champagne brunch was also great. We sat outside, listened to the light jazz duo, drank bubbly and enjoyed the bartenders "cocktail" entertainment. Auralie, a lovely French staff member couldn't have been knowledgeable:I had several chocolate desserts in front of me and she suggested two sweeter wines that would be more suitable than the champagne...indeed they were.

The food at Olea for both breakfasts was superb. A large choice, fresh and delicious. The cinnamon buns were the best ever. We had met Fahd Mouamir,Manager of F&B, the day before and when he saw me walking around the buffet he greeted me by name.... nice touch.

It was my birthday, so a delicious small cake was there for us to enjoy in the room as well.

Ok, now to the pool! The adult pool has the neatest loungers, just floating in the water, around a slightly private pool area. Great drink service and no kids. Aaahhhhhh.

The bed was great, sheets, pillow etc all good. TV had all the channels as well.

Once again a superb weekend, great food, and the service equal to the Ritz Carleton...none better. We will be back!

Room Tip: Sea view...
