I had a great time watching the Sea Lion show! These guys really know how to put on a great performance and make the crowd enjoy themselves. Highly recommended if you're looking to have a good time in Abu Dhabi with your friends and/or family.

I also attended a sea lion interaction session, which was great. The trainers are very polite and you can clearly see they love what they're doing. They explained to me how they trained the sea lions and how they are taken care of. Really cool to hear how they put together a show and learn the sea lions new tricks.

Would totally come back for a second time!

“I cried! One of the most well kept zoos in the emirates but still not good conditions.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2013

The old part of the zoo is terrible: there were wooly sheep native to Western Europe suffering with no ac in 40 degrees, baboons in small enclosures one with a clearly visible wound and don't even get me started on the 'Cat House.' 6 cats were each in a small wire cage and one male cat in a wired bottom cage on the floor. 2 females each had 5 kittens. I can only assume these will be sold on to breeders as they were pure Persian. They all had matted tails and were not clean. The Cat House was smelly to say the least. The meerkats were in a small, boring enclosure with very little stimulation. The griaffes were being fed by a family who seemed to be sharing their packed lunch, I'm quite sure this is not the native diet of a giraffe and nothing was done to stop them screeching children sharing their lunch. The newer part of the zoo housed happier looking animals. I spoke to a very helpful English speaking employee who walked us around the predator section and explained the new enclosures were nearly complete and animals were waiting to be moved. She at least, seemed to be trying to improve conditions for these animals and explained the changes that had recently been made. The sea lion section is run by a different company. We paid extra for an encounter. The staff here were knowledgeable and the animals seemed well looked after. I was a little shocked at the close proximity of some of the animals, for example the marmosets were in a open wired encloser and could stick their hands out to touch and grab and eat anything offered by children who visited them. Probably not the safest for them or the children. Unless you are one of these people who are not very interested in animal welfare, I don't suggest a light hearted visit. A lot of work still to be done here. :(

I have always enjoyed visits to zoo. I could not leave the giraffes and the elephants. It was quite fun seeing the excitement of the kids and being part of it. Excellent. Though small but this is a lot of fun

“Emirates park zoo-a must!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

Our boys aged 12 years and 14 years really enjoyed this zoo. We could not tear them away from feeding the giraffes. We also really enjoyed feeding the elephants (which is an extra charge) but well worth doing.

“Great fun for kids”

This was our 2nd visit and we saw lot of positive changes like a decorative entrance and a place to stay back etc. It was a treat to feed the animals. The aquarium was a new addition. We missed the shows. would love to go back again.
