My wife and I stayed for one night in a grand deluxe suite.

The hotel is stunning and classy. The room was fantastic, breathtaking views along the cornice and bathtub overlooking the marina mall. The room was so nice we decided to spend the night in the room watching the sun set and the city lights twinkle.

My wife visited the spar and thoroughly enjoyed a balinese massage, and we had takeaway pizzas from Villa Toscana which were delicous. Quaffing red wine, munching pizza while watching the bustling corniche at night was a real treat.

A few issues.

Check in-out is in a lavish room with 3 desks and posh sofas. But it is slow with no queuing or clear order for everyone waiting. This was really frustrating and embarrassing to see people jostling for position in a 5 star hotel. It was a busy weekend but things could've been a lot smoother with some additional check in desks and someone coordinating proceedings. I don't care how comfy a sofa is if I have to sit for 30mins and fend off queue jumpers.

Another thing is the lighting in the room. It has push button settings and you are limited to a few moods which are basically; off, relax or work. Work being very very bright and relax being very bright. None of the lamps have switches and the bedside lamps are the only ones that can be individually controlled. We spent most of the night with the bedside lamps on just to get some ambient light in the living area. It was still a bit dark but the other options were very bright or very very bright. A dimmer switch on a few of the lights would be a great improvement.

Finally a minor issue was the lack of pay on demand movies. Later on in the evening we really fancied curling up on the sofa with a movie, but there is only live tv with a small selection of movie channels. A bit disappointing.

Due to the issues I can't say it was the perfect 5 star experience. But we had a great time and those may not be issues to other people.

Issues included I would definitely recommend the hotel as a decedent place to stay for a treat.

Cannot fault anything at St Regis, had an absolutely fabulous time. Hotel staff couldn't do enough for you. Stayed in a king bedroom with sea view, very comfy bed, lovely bathroom with rain shower. The view was great, never tired of it. The butler service is superb, felt very spoilt. I was here for my birthday weekend, on my actual birthday the head Butler Myo Min personally brought to our room a bottle of pink champagne, a bouquet of a dozen red roses and a birthday cake as a special surprise, it was really lovely, made a perfect stay even more special! I praise all the staff here for a fantastic stay, thank you for making it special.

Room Tip: Room with a sea view is a must & breakfast is just perfect

Located in a famous Corniche area which is always a prime area for offices and residential. A brand new hotel where everything is perfect. The sea view overlooking the Corniche road is breathtaking. The Rhodes 44 Restaurant offers a good food coupled with excellent service. When you enter the lobby, you feel like you are in a true five star hotel and do not forget to taste the dates! Staying in this hotels gives you an unparalleled access to the beach club, with private access and unnoticeable. What I love most from this hotel is tha prayer room, so my friends can offer prayer here comfortably! The price is slightly higher than the average but understandle

Room Tip: There are two St Regis Hotels in Abu Dhabi. The other St Regis is located in Saadiyat Island

this is a very good hotel all in all with nice business facilities to hold a conference and wonderful restaurant pool, breakfast and bar locations. if you're high up on the 45th floor one can enjoy a pretty view on the surrounding area. the rooms are also nice and i especially liked the very comfortable bed. in fact almost everything is perfect! why not 5 stars then? not really sure, but i guess one must like the shiny facade and pompous style of this environment in order to feel perfectly at ease.

Check in was slow which was a surprise, but the rest of the service offered was very good. Rooms are a nice size and well furnished. I have a superior sea view on the 40th floor and the views are stunning. Rhodes restaurant was very good, but the service was slightly annoying and the spit roast chicken looked as if it had come out of a microwave. The lamb on the other hand was sublime. Shisha on the 3rd floor was excellent and expensive, but you had great views along the corniche.

Room Tip: always go for the sea view

This is probably the cleanest hotel I have ever visited. It is a real treat to stay somewhere new and pristine. The lobby and reception are magnificent. We enjoyed a sea view room on the 34th floor and never tired of the awe inspiring view.
A lovely room, comfortable bed and magnificent bathroom. I really want a TV in my bathroom mirror now.
The new Beach Club is absolutely spot on, good size pool, super beach and perfect Spa. Although I must admit to being a little bored of Spa's and wish an enterprising hotel would come up with something different.
All the staff try their very best to please and are polite and helpful.
I love the location, right on the Corniche with everything close by. Abu Dhabi is a wonderful city and it is fun to visit every few years to see the amazing rate of change. It feels very safe indeed and super easy to drive around.
The restaurants in the hotelare, however, very disappointing! This is an understatement, they are dreadful. We ate one of the top 10 worst meals of our lives here and that is a big achievement. The hotel MUST do something quickly. Apart from the awful food, the Rhodes restaurant is like a cafeteria, with uncomfortable seating and loud, incessant music.
A wonderful hotel is ruined if it does not have excellent food. I would like to see a restaurant for Middle Eastern food, not Pizza Hut standard Italian fare and '90's English leftovers.
If you decide to stay here you will not be disappointed but pop along the road to Emirates Palace to eat. Better still maybe stay there!

We stayed here last week for three nights and our only regret was that we didnt stay for longer! Upon entering the hotel we found the hotel to be very palatial and so beautiful. Fresh flowers were everywhere and there was a lovely relaxing ambience.

We were greeted by the hotel staff and directed to the check in desk, check in was smooth and efficent and the staff were incredibly friendly and courteous.

We were shown to our room which was simply lovely. A huge marble bathroom with a TV in the mirror. It was very luxiourous. The bed was extremely comfatable and I cannot say how impressed we were with the view from our room.

This hotel thinks of everything, all the toiletries that you could need were provided, and more!

We used Rhodes 44 for breakfast and found this to be very nice. We also used the beach club which was beautiful, the cabannas are awesome! Did not want to move.

The hotel is really lovely and I cannot fault it at all. I cant wait to return and we have already looked to re-book for Christmas this year. One recommendation for Abu Dhabi - do the friday brunch at the ritz carlton - it is breath taking!
